RWBY: Unbound Instinct (Ruby Rose x Male Reader)

Ch. 3 - Teamwork!!

We emerge from the woods at a different part of the ruins, the cliff looming over us in the distance. The Nevermore flies over us and perches itself on the ruins of the tower while we all take cover. I stay with Ruby, Yang and the black haired girl, "That's great." Yang blurts out.

The Deathstalker slams through the trees behind us, "Aw crap run!" Jaune yells from across from us.

We all break from our cover and the black haired boy yells, "Nora! Distract it!"

The energetic girl, Nora, dodges a few feathers shot from the grimm before pulling her grenade launcher from her back, firing shots at the Nevermore. One hits it square in the nose and it flies off to circle back around.

The two black haired people run back to distract the Deathstalker and we continue running. We come to a bridge, and before we can cross the Nevermore flies straight through it. I end up on Ruby's side, a piece of the bridge landing on my back.

While Ruby and Yang help me up, Nora and Jaune lauch back to the other side. I shake my head and huff, "Man that stung."

Yang pulls me up and smacks my back, "You're fine! A little bruise never hurt nobody."

Ruby runs in front of us further into the ruins and up the tower. We follow, finding the black haired girl landing with us, "It's tougher than it looks!"

Yang stands between me and Ruby, she extends her gauntlets, cocking the mechanism, "Then we hit it with everything we got."

I give her a nod, flipping Finality into its rifle form, and open fire. Quickly joined by the rest of the crew. The grimm flies through the hellfire and cuts the tower in half.

While the four of them have something to stand on, I do not. I free fall for a second before flipping and grabbing Eternity, unsheathing it and stabbing it into a piece of falling rubble. I shoot Finality to generate momentum and pull the blade back, launching myself upward a bit. I find something to land on and continue my ascent, running up falling rubble behind the group. They split and I put my weapons together, twisting and aiming it behind me.

I hear a click and pull the trigger, shooting myself upward. I find myself above Ruby and Weiss. I seperate the weapons and land between them, "None of this is working." Weiss says calmly.

I run in front of Weiss and shoot up at the grimm with Finality. After a few seconds Ruby runs off.

She goes to the black haired girl and explains something, then Weiss before coming to me, "Y/n! What's your semblance?!"

I stop shooting, "Enhancement of my body! I can get super strong, fast, or buff my senses."

She thinks for a second before grabbing my arm, "Okay! You're with me then."

While Ruby explains the plan it circles back toward Yang and Yang jumps toward it's mouth. Holding it open while firing shot after shot into it. She disembarks her ride and sees us set up on the pillars. I stand next to Ruby with Finality in hand.

Yang runs to us and Weiss dashes forward, freezing the bird in place. Black haired girl shoots her elastic thingy across the two pillars, Yang grabbing the other end and hooking it into the pillar. They tighten it and Ruby looks at me, "Here we go!"

I nod, grabbing her scythe's handle and she shoots us back, landing onto the band and weighing it back into a glyph Weiss made. I let go of the handle and pull Finality in front of me, "How can you be okay with this?" Weiss says to me.

"You'd be surprised. Think you can make the shot?" I say.

A confident smile plasters Weiss's face, "Hmph. Can I?"
