Going dress shopping for Homecoming that was set to take place this late September was something that Ryujin should be more excited about. But holy shit, she was dreading it now that her father was making her go with Elijah.

He made it clear that he wouldn't approve of any other date. Basically, Elijah is the perfect guy in his eyes. He loves that man.

"I mean I don't see why he doesn't just date Elijah since he loves him so much!" Ryujin complained as she stood in front of the three mirrors on the podium at the dress shop.

"He is  the perfect guy, but it's still not right for your dad to push so much about it. Refusing to give you money for homecoming unless he's your date? That's crazy." Yuna said at the other set of mirrors next to Ryujin's set.

"Right? Now I don't even know how to be around Elijah. Does Madison hate me now that everyone knows that we're going to hoco together?"

"Since when do you care what Madison thinks?"

"I just don't want her to hate me, I hate having issues with people."

"Yeji is his best friend and she's just like him, wouldn't your father approve of her too?"

"She's a girl, Yuna. I came out to him and he always tells me that I'm going through a phase and that I'm in denial of my real feelings. It's so... God! It's so annoying!" Ryujin growled.

When a staff woman came up to her to make any extra adjustments to her dress, Ryujin was suddenly using a much nicer tone.

"Oh it's fine, yes... yes! Thank you so much, ma'am." She smiled at the woman, who was about to ring her up for the dress.

"Well, your dress is beautiful, Ryujin." Yuna said on the bright side, getting down from her podium to go to Ryujin's. They held hands and spun around together.

"Yours too. It's sooo you. You look like Barbie."

"Is it bad that I really love when people call me Barbie?"

"Not at all!"

"I feel like that scene in Princess and the Pauper. You know what I'm talking about?"

"Oh!! Yes! I'm just like you!" Ryujin began to sing the iconic song from one of the animated Barbie movies.

"I'm just like you!" Yuna sang back.

"You're just like me!"

"You're just like me!"

"*Together* It's something anyone can see!"

"Now I really wanna watch that movie." Yuna pouted, remembering all the times she watched Barbie movies growing up.

"We should just get snacks from Publix and watch it! Crisps, cakes, biscuits, pizza... Your place or mine?"

"Mine is closer to Publix. Oh and we can bring a bunch of throws, pillows, and stuffies down into the living room and turn all of the lights off! I can invite Yeji-"

"No! Do not invite Yeji and Elijah..."

"Ang, lemme finish! I can invite Yeji... if you want." Yuna winked at the shorter one.

"Are we sure Eli won't come along? Those two are a pair, you invite one and the other comes too."

"If she says yes, I'll tell her to make it clear to Eli that we'll be watching kids' princess movies."

Thinking about it deeply, Ryujin didn't know how she felt about it. She and Yeji's friendship seemed to have healed since the Sunday that they almost kissed. Yuna will be there too, it shouldn't be so bad.
