A month later, on the first of February, things hadn't gotten much better. Yeji and Elijah have spoken, but it always ends in yelling. Ryujin has spoken to Elijah and told him about the restraining order his father wants to set with law. She told him that she wants him to talk to Andrew to make peace with him. And Yeji has yet to even see a spec light at the end of the tunnel in regards to getting his blessing. She really wished they could go back to how they used to be. She never thought their friendship was this breakable.

Elijah did end up speaking to Andrew, attempting to make peace with him. Andrew agreed to not make the restraining order, but he forbade Elijah from ever being with Ryujin or being on his property or being with Ryujin alone, even if guards are present.

Today, Yeji would try again from Elijah to make peace with him. She hoped it would go better than every other time. She hoped she was making progress even though it felt like she wasn't. She planned to wait for him at his house, she knows Diondre or Cora will let her in. They too apologized on Eli's behalf, they didn't like how he outed her and Ryujin and they also didn't like how neglectful he was about this whole situation.

Elijah did not have football practice, so he'd go straight home after school today, meaning Yeji would have to beat him to it. She had the last period free, while Elijah didn't, so she made her way over, informing Ryujin that they couldn't hang out after school for that very reason.

It was okay though, Ryujin would be taken to the doctor in regards to her ankle, hopefully she can switch to a boot today.

Yeji parked outside of the King household, the gates opening for her, she sighed. "Please go well..." She groaned, getting a headache every time she thought about this.

And back at the school, as the bell rang, Ryujin met with her guard like always outside the main doors. But today, she didn't see Bunny, she saw someone she didn't recognise in the same outfit that Bunny would wear.

"Oh... Are you for me?" She asked, looking around for Bunny.

"Correct, Miss Anderson. I've been hired by the governor to protect you along with my accomplice, Ben or Mr. Martin." He put his hand out to shake hers and she shook it, taking her hand off of her right crutch briefly. "My name is Trent Long."

"Ryujin." They shook on it. Ryujin honestly forgot about the whole adding a guard a month thing. November will be a nightmare.

"Mr. Martin awaits us in the Cadillac." Trent gestured to take her bag from her back, which she let him do and then they went to the black Cadillac SUV that she had been riding home in everyday since the New Year.

Opening the door for her, he took her crutches from her and helped her in, waiting for her to put on her own seatbelt before smirking and taking into a microphone on his watch. "Subject is secure. Governor's daughter is in the getaway car."

Ryujin looked over at him and her whole demeanor froze at those words. The door shut and the car began moving. She looked ahead at the driver and noticed that it was not her driver and Bunny was not in the passenger seat. And that man... he had her crutches and her bag, which had her phone in it as well...

She put her hand up to her chest to press on the panic necklace her father makes her wear, and immediately grew scared for her life when she didn't feel it there. She knew she wore it today...

Thinking back through her day, she knows she had been wearing it all day and it didn't fall off. She was fidgeting with it during the last period and remembers almost setting it off.

The man must have taken it off when he took her backpack for her...

"Wh-where are you taking me?" She questioned, her voice dark yet terrified, like it was getting stuck in her throat. She slowly put her hands on her seatbelt, trying to take it off so she could attack the driver, but it was locked. The seatbelt was locked, too tight for her to squeeze out of it either.
