Yeji stood, in an apron, at her baking station alone, glaring at the partners who were laughing their asses off at their own station. Oh, how happy she is that Eli and Ryujin are spending good time together, but holy shit! She didn't realize Eli wanted her to sign up so she could be a third wheel.

"Why are you pretending to be bad??" Ryujin cackled, stopping him from using the salt as sugar for their cupcakes.

"What do you mean?" Eli joked back, wondering why Ryujin was stopping him from pouring the cup of white grain into their bowl.

"This is the salt, Eli! You did the same thing with the baking soda and baking powder earlier!"

"Those two are literally the same thing. What is the damn difference?" Eli said with a funny face, dumping the salt back into the bag and pouring the sugar in the measuring cup instead.

"Are you talking about the sugar and salt or the soda and powder?"

"The salt and sugar, duh." Elijah joked, but really, he didn't know the difference between baking soda and baking powder. Melvin taught him, he forgot.

Ryujin slapped his arm and laughed harder, watching him pour the sugar into the glass mixing bowl. She didn't seem to notice how close he was to her, sitting in his stool so close, his chest nearly touched her arm.

"I'll bet you're a touchy person, huh?" He smirked a bit to himself, eyeing the mixture as he spoke even though he wanted to look at the dark haired girl instead.

"What do you mean?" Ryujin chuckled.

"I just noticed that you touch people a lot, like when you were laughing you were slapping my arm, laying your head on my shoulder..."

"Oh, yeah. I am pretty touchy and I can't say no to people, people have even thought I was leading them on because of it so I tried to stop, but it's a habit."

Eli shook his head, whether Ryujin liked her own love language habit or not, he adored it.

"Don't. I personally feel like you're really engaged in the conversation. It's like..." He shrugged, giving the girl a comforting smile, "When your parents hate talking to you while you're on your phone, you know?"

Ryujin shrugged and thought about it, staring at the counter and then looking up at him again, "Thanks, E."

"Yeh..." He smiled bigger, then he looked over just enough to see his best friend, once he realized she was too busy to listen to their conversation he looked back down at their mixture and spoke with a teasing smile. "Just don't do it much around Yeji."

The younger girl pouted in confusion, leaning in as she asked why, "Why not?"

Elijah shook his head, not in a disappointing manner, just to put emphasis on his next words and the seriousness of it, "She's not big on physical touch. Friendly punching or slapping, she doesn't mind it. But soft stuff like hugs, laying on the shoulder... she just doesn't like it. She's never let me hug her... maybe a couple times and I've known her since before pre-school."

"Really??" Ryujin gasped a bit, she had heard of people who don't fancy physical touch, but she just didn't understand it. Her main love language is acts of service, teasing, and well... physical touch, it went for both platonic and romantic love.

"Yeah, just a pointer. She's really extraverted, but not big on touch."

"Think she'll make an exception for me?" Ryujin peached with a big cheesy smile.

Elijah stared at her, taking a screen shot of the girl's smile in his mind. The way he can't help but smile too whenever she does. It's like she casts some kind of innocent spell on him and he didn't hate it.
