The night had gone from fun to shambles in a matter of minutes, but Ryujin couldn't be mad. Elijah should be with his mom, there is no denying that.

However, now, she was sitting alone at their table, watching everyone dance. She didn't wanted to dance alone and she couldn't find Yeji. She thinks she and her friends already left to go eat somewhere or party.

Yuna and Jesus? Also out of sight.

She didn't want to look sad, being a wallflower for the rest of the night. She wanted to go home and accept the fact that the night ended weirdly. But she stayed, something told her to stay. Elijah may come back.

So, she ate an unhealthy amount of cupcakes that the baking club made for tonight. She noticed that the ones she made were noticeably better than the rest and she drank way too much of the Walmart fruit punch, she was buzzing with sugar-energy with no one to dance with.

She also tried calling Yeji, no answer. Then she tried Yuna, none either. Pouting to herself, she felt left out. They both were out having fun and she was here alone. She only hoped that Eli's mom was okay.

Also, she hoped for a call from Eli, an update, but she got nothing of the such. It felt insensitive to call first.

Watching all the couples dance for the slow songs, the light dim and romantic, her heart grew sore. The only one sitting at the tables alone, while everyone else at the tables were sitting with other people.

"Mmm, Eli left you, huh?" Madison started, getting off the dance floor with her own boy toy. "Not surprised, he never likes a girl that tries so... hard." She looked Ryujin up and down before giggling with her date and walking to their table so they could gather their things and leave for the night.

Ryujin scoffed with an aching heart, how could Madison be her friend a month ago and be an enemy now? Maybe she was jealous of the fact that Ryujin and Elijah are "together."

Ryujin's eyes followed them out and once they were gone, she looked down in her lap and nearly cried. Why hasn't she gone home yet?

The night slowly calmed down, people leaving pair by pair and group by group until the dance was over. Ryujin fell asleep on the table, her head resting on her arms that were laying over the table cloth.

One of the janitors shook her awake, "Wake up, party's over, kid." he told her, making sure she was awake before walking away and continuing to sweep the wooden floors of the gym.

Ryujin lifted her head up, sitting up fully in her chair and sighing when looking at the time and the empty room. Looks like he never came back, which must mean his mom isn't okay...

The raven haired one collected her things, her eyes tired, she's ready to just go home and sleep, maybe call her mom to vent.

She wondered how she'd get home, if Eli took the limo, she'd have to call staff or an Uber.

Walking to the doors of the gym, someone rushed in, running right into her. They bumped shoulders, making Ryujin drop her little bag.

"Shit, sorry." The other said, they both kneeled down to pick up her bag for her.

"It's okay." Ryujin said, looking up at the person when she realized they both kneeled down.

'God, could her eyes be any more beautiful? Did anyone else have more beautiful eyes? With a color as complex and a shape just as fun and foxy?' Ryujin thought to herself, her heart scaring her with how much it suddenly stinged for the brunette.

"Ryujin? What are you still doing here?" Yeji looked around, not seeing Eli. "Eli in the restroom?"

"Uh, no, he left a few hours ago. Family emergency." Ryujin answered honestly, picking up her own bag and standing up, Yeji following suit worriedly.
