Ryujin had to be sent to the nearest hospital for an x-ray and possible surgery on her ankle, Yuna wanted to go with her in the ambulance but she thought Yeji would want to come. She was on the fence about offering Elijah.

Knocking on the door next to her room, Madison answered and immediately rolled her eyes.

"What do you want?" She spat at the brunette.

"I need to talk to Yeji. It's really important." Yuna started.

Madison smirked, "Yeji's gone."

Yuna's head inched forward. Did she hear Madison correctly? "Wait, what?"

"Yeah, she left like 20 minutes ago. Something about Elijah is such an asshole and that her parents' private jet couldn't get here faster. Apparently, she ended up just taking the next flight to Florida in executive class... bye!" Madison slammed the door.

Yuna sighed, rubbing her forehead in distress. She doesn't even want to ask Elijah to go with her. She'll just taxi alone.

The trip pretty much ended early for the group. Ryujin was sent home for her broken ankle, assigned to a wheelchair for two weeks, and then crutches for about a month, and then a boot. Elijah was also sent home for violence and Yuna decided to go home since none of her friends were on the trip anymore.

And none of them were on speaking terms with Elijah at the moment.

But the same day he came home, he was surprised at his front door. Dex Hwang was standing there and immediately punched him in the face, right after, he was escorted off of the property and Elijah convinced his dad to not press charges. He knew he deserved it. 

So he spent Christmas with a black eye.

Yeji spent Christmas with her family, dropping by Ryujin's house with Yuna to exchange gifts as well. She was still rattled by the whole trip. Finding out not only Ryujin likes her, but Madison and half of the senior female class as well. She may have lost her best friend and was outed by the same boy in one of the worst ways.

She didn't want to ever go back to school.

On top of that, she rejected Chaeryeong's proposal, in person, which was such a tough band aid to rip off. But at least doing it in person made it seem more sincere, right?

 Chaeryeong was a petty bitch and cut off all ties with her.

Ryujin literally hated being confined to a wheelchair, but she was glad she didn't have to go to school with it. Her dad kept stressing to her about her safety and trusting people since the new year will be election year and he will be running again. These politicians like to aim early to knock out competition as soon as possible.

Ryujin found it annoying, knowing nothing will happen to her. She tried to convince her father to stick to the single security guard, but it didn't work. Now he must follow her everywhere, stand outside her door when she is home, and Andrew mentioned that more precautions will go into effect as the new semester begins.

She was able to go on vacation without the one security guard she has already, but now? Everywhere she goes, she will be driven and he will be present, all the way until well after the elections are over.

And on this night, the night before school starts again, in the new year, Ryujin laid in her bed on video call with Yeji. They spoke like a couple when no one was watching, but when they were alone, Yeji still wouldn't allow them to do anything. She didn't know if she lost Elijah forever, but in case she didn't, she didn't want to do anything with Ryujin yet.

"I really like that outfit on you..." Ryujin giggled, watching Yeji clean her room. Ryujin herself was just writing in her planning for important dates for her academic year.
