Until she found out she wasn't the only one in the novel and felt threatened. The girls seemed to not care about the plot and even wanted to change it. As the main characters they could bend the story to thier will and thier beauty was enough to get all the extra characters and yet they never cared.
She felt out of place. The book was hers. Not only that but they were best friends who were reincarnated together. Even better than her. Why wasn't it her.
Count depp was the only one she had. So she had been holding on to him extra hard. To think that they would figure her out. She stared at Lucy. The way she was. She felt threatened by her. It was as though she knew it all just by a glance of her. Reading her like a book. Yet she felt no hostility but yet pity.
"We need your help."
They explained to her everything they had uncovered and everything seemed to match. With evidence to support on her own side. The reason he never kissed her. The reason at tea parties why they were always glaring at her. The reason for everything. Her world began to crumble. That was why no character came close to her. It was all because of everything she let get over her head.
She broke down. She had never been like that before. She lived a normal life so nothing about her was great or bad just normal. Normal until she came into the book.
"How dumb of me. To think I had something very exciting happen to me. Yet. Yet."
She kept crying. Amy and Lucy waited for her to finish. They really never cared about anyone else but each other. Since the day they met when they were 4. So they had no idea how to comfort someone outside the text that they need something from them.
"Are you done?"
Amy asked handing out a handkerchief. Sammy nodded taking it and wiping her face.
"I am sorry. I shouldn't have done that. Now I regret living by the plot. If I hadn't my heart wouldn't have felt broken like this. I truly love the count. I just found it odd why he never really did anything to me."
Lucy nodded.
"Well setting that aside. We can't keep looking at the past can we. Your future is much brighter. What we can do now is breaking forth. Do you know how to defeat ghost?"
Sammy nodded.
"There are many books in the library that can help. I can search through them and we can talk about it later."
"Great. In a month you should have finished up your research. Try not to make it known that you know about this. Infact I have a request."
Lucy took her purse out and gave a lipgloss to Samantha.
"Kiss the count on his neck whenever he is vunerable. No matter when. This lipstick stain last about 2 days before fading and that only when a person has scrubbed thier neck. He would feel so much pain having to scrub of the lipgloss. This is the smallest piece of revenge you can give him for now."
Samantha shivered. She knew how evil that was. But something inside her was convinced to do that. She stared at the girls. Something about them was odd.
Amy had sat there holding her sword and staring at what was happening as though all she needed to do was follow the lead of Lucy like a puppet. Like all she had to do was execute a plan and protect Lucy . Yet they were extremely close.
"Okay. Once again thank you."
Lucy nodded. Amy smiled taking her stand.
"Shall we head out?"
Samantha nodded. They took her out and after she left they headed towards Amy's room.
"Lucy why did you get mad? You only do that when u care about someone. I thought we promised we would only care about each other."
Amy wrapped her arms around Lucy's waist holding her close.
"I know but she reminded me of the old me. The one that hurt you when you were 12. I couldn't live with that memory."
"I thought I told you to forget that. It wasn't your fault. You were made to do that."
"I know but if I had retaliated you would have been put in a coma."
The place went quiet as they were still locked in each others embrace.
"We faced and we would still face multiple casualties together. That was nothing to me compared to the other times so please we can't care about anyone else okay? Promise me."
Lucy nodded.
It was thier promise. A promise they made since they were 6. Caring about someone was something they couldn't do no matter what.
"I won't do that again."
