Wally threw a rope onto the pile of stuff the group had gathered for their plan.

"Is that it?" Frank asked.

"Should be." Wally answered quietly, as if he were unsure, or still thinking. "We have the rope to tie around Barnaby when he goes inside so we don't lose him, and we have the lighter he'll use to light the inside on fire. We have the weapons to use against the actual goo, and backpacks for the ones of us that need them."

"So... we're set?" Eddie asks, wanting confirmation.

"I think so." Wally says, more confident this time.

"Right... so... we eat dinner, then attack at night, right?" Barnaby asks as he walks into the room.

Wally turns his head towards Barnaby, Frank and Eddie do the same.

"Exactly." Wally nods, "Home always made me make you guys go inside after 8:00 p.m. because they said it was curfew, and I guess they must think we still follow that Instinctually, which isn't entirely wrong, but it benefits us because they won't see the attack coming."

Barnaby made a face at the words "Home always made me." He hated the fact Home made Wally do stuff, it really made him regret how long he let Wally deal with that.

Wally seemed to sense this and sighed, walking over to Barnaby and leaning into him, Barnaby put his arm around Wally's shoulder and whispered a quiet apology, to which Wally shushed him.

"It's alright, Barns.. Nobody knew, it's not your fault.." He insisted, even though he knew Barnaby wasn't ever going to stop blaming himself for not noticing something was wrong sooner.

All of the sudden Julie ran in- Well, it was more like a hop, but whatever. Julie ran, or hopped, past the two, pausing for a minute before squealing "LOVE BIRDS!" and running off to Sally.

Wally blushed and immediately pulled away, which caused Barnaby to let out a nervous giggle and pull back as well.

Poppy and Howdy filed in after Julie,
"Goodness, Julie! You've flustered them!" Poppy said, amused but wanting the two to be comfortable.

"I-Its alright, Pops.." Barnaby muttered, still a blushing mess.

Howdy snickered and patted Barnaby on the back with one of his hands as he walked by.

"Is that everyone?" Wally asked, shaking off the blush and trying to change the subject.

Poppy looked around the room "That's everyone!" she confirmed.

"Nice." Wally said, "Howdy, Poppy, you two need help with lunch?" He asked quietly.

Poppy looked at him a little puzzled, "What? You never help with lunch, I thought you hated cooking."

"Well... I do prefer baking... But it couldn't hurt." he shrugged.

Howdy smiled and put his hand on Poppy's shoulder, assuring her it was alright. "Let the kid help, he's right, it can't hurt."

Poppy hesitated, a little suspicious, but sighed, "Alright, dearie, come along." she moved her wing in a motion that indicated she wanted Wally to follow her, so that's exactly what he did.

TIME SKIP

Wally was sitting on the counter, eating an apple and talking to Barnaby who was eating a hotdog and smiling at the fact Wally was actually relatively close to his height since he was sitting on the counter. Howdy was standing behind the counter, leaning on it with one pair of his arms, the other pair limp at his sides, talking to Poppy and Sally. Frank, Julie, and Eddie were all sitting on the stools at the counters chatting with each other.
