12. The "Ideal" Couple

Haejin was thankful that her mother made her buy some fancy dresses for such get-togethers, aware that after marriage she'll have to attend a ton of such parties. Most of the dresses that her mother bought for her were full length gowns, with closed necks and full sleeves. She wasn't a fan of wearing clothes that exposed even a little bit of her skin, and so her mother made her buy as comfortable clothes as she could find.

Both Minho and Haejin decided on wearing black, so as to appear elegant yet classy and superior though, both of them were unsure whether they'll be able to pull off the perfect couple look in front of the media or not.

It was around 5:25pm when Haejin was ready, in her black lace gown which had a lacy neck and sleeves which stopped at her forearms. The gown hugged her waist and the flaired down till her feet. There were tiny rhinestones all over her dress, so tiny that they were only visible when light fell on them at a certain angle and they glimmered. As for her makeup, she just went with a simple, light nude look as she wasn't experienced in this field. Her hair were styled into loose curls. A black clutch and black stilletos completed her look.

When she stepped out of her room, all dressed, her eyes found Minho in the living room, busy on his phone. That was when she noticed that even his phone case was decorated with stickers of his cats. She found it very cute and heartwarming, how Minho was so much into his cats.

Minho was dressed in all black, a black button up shirt, with the first two buttons undone, black pants and black coat, his brown hair parted in the middle.

I cannot deny in any way that Lee Minho is hot. Haejin thought to herself, and well it wasn't that she was attracted to him, but she never stepped back when it came to acknowledging other's good things, in this case Minho's looks. Though she knew that even if by mistake she lets this thought slip out of her mouth in front of Hyunjin, he would bother her everyday by teasing her in person and even over the texts, so she had no intentions of telling anyone about this.

Haejin walked further towards the living room, catching Minho's attention. When he saw her, he didn't speak anything but just kept looking at her, making her feel nervous.

"Do I not look presentable enough?", Haejin asked being concious as Minho didn't say anything. "No, you look perfect.", he said with a slight smile, and she sighed, relieved hearing his words. "Thanks, you look good yourself!", Haejin replied, very truthfully. "Thanks, let's go now." Minho said, walking towards the front door, Haejin following him.

It was 20-25 minutes drive to Minho's home, or rather the mansion and both of them were on time, 2-3 minutes early actually and to say Haejin was anxious would be an understatement. Her anxiety got only worse when she saw the crowd of reporters at the entrance of the mansion.

Haejin was visibly sweating, as today was her first public appearance as Minho's wife. She did know that there will be reporters and journalists, but too many of them, she never expected that. It only increased the burden she felt of appearing as perfect as possible.

When the car was just in front of Minho's mansion, all the lights were on them, the most anticipated guests of today's event after all. Minho noticed how much nervous Haejin looked and he took her hand in his, and said "I'm here, don't worry."

Haejin wasn't really sure if his words helped her even a bit because, the fame was not a first for him and he was more than used to it. She still managed to curve her lips into a subtle smile hearing his words.

When they both got out, Minho gave his car keys to some person, which Haejin believed to be the one responsible for parking his car. The flashes from cameras, the amount of reporters and the conjustion because of the reporters were making it hard for Haejin to maintain her calm and Minho could sense that so he held her hand, in his hand entwining their fingers and moved through the crowd inside the mansion towards the yard, where the event was to be held.
