The next Sunday, dinner with Chan's family and the start of the 8th week of their marriage:

It was Sunday, the day both Minho and Haejin had to attend the dinner to which they were invited by Chan. Both of them had to reach his mansion by six in the evening and it being on the other side of Seoul, it would take atleast thirty minutes for them to reach. Just to be on the safer side, and to not attract attention for not being on time, Minho and Haejin had decided on leaving forty minutes earlier than the reaching time, that is, 5:20 pm.

As it was a family dinner, and Minho's family wasn't just a normal family but a business class family, the bar for what Haejin should wear and how she should look was already set high. She needed to appear formal and elegant but in all honesty, she had no idea how would she do so.

Haejin rummaged through her closet, trying to find an appropriate dress for the event, and even though she had plenty of dresses now, she couldn't find any which sat right with her. As for being appropriate, all outfits were more than appropriate but none was actually to her liking. She was already running late, it was quarter to five and she knew she needed to speed up her dress-hunting process. All the dresses which were hung on the hanger didn't appeal to her so she started rummaging through the ones which were kept folded in the other part for her closet. She sure had innumerable outfits for someone who liked to dress casual.

After looking for what seemed like five minutes, Haejin's eyes fell on a comparatively old dress of hers, indigo in colour and lacy overall and she decided she would wear it. It was the most simple yet the most classy dress according to her, and indigo was her favourite colour too.

Though, Haejin didn't like going to such events and family get-togethers, she was sure her clothes liked going for they atleast got the chance to be worn by her, even if that was once in a while.

Without wasting further time, Haejin started getting ready. She did the usual make up which she had been doing for a while now, also leaving her hair open as usual. What was new was the silver hoop earrings, which she had been wanting to wear for sometime and today was the opportunity.

After being done with everything else, she finally put on the dress and she noticed how it still fitted her well, stopping a little bit above her knees perfectly and the long sleeves were a perfect fit too, neither too tight, nor too loose. In all truth, she was a bit scared whether or not the dress would fit her as she had not worn it for a long time and the doctor had also told her that she might gain weight because of the birth control pills she had been taking, but it seemed that she had not gained any weight which was a relief.

The only problem was the zipper of the dress. Not only was it low, stopping just above her butt, but also it was straight up problematic and no matter how many times Haejin had got it changed, it would still bother her. It took her seven to eight minutes alone in dealing with that zipper as it kept getting stuck and she couldn't put much pressure as breaking the zipper was the last thing she wanted to happen today, she was already running late.

Finally, after checking herself in the mirror for one last time, Haejin headed out of her room and just like always, Minho was already dressed, waiting in the living room. Once again, he was in all black clothes and he looked as if he had jumped out of a manhwa.

"I'm ready.", Haejin spoke, making Minho's eyes leave his phone and meet hers. After looking at her for a few seconds, he complimented her, "This colour suits you.", and even though it was not a very direct compliment, Haejin felt blood rushing to her face, which might have made her cheeks redder than before, making her subtle blush to look like a heavy layering of blush.
