16. Confusions Within

"It's okay, I'm here.", Minho said while engulfing Haejin into his embrace, his right hand moving through her hair. Her sobs were violent, and he could feel her whole body shaking and shivering. He didn't really know how to calm a person down, so he just kept murmuring words to her while patting her back. It did take time but ultimately, Haejin's sobs calmed down after what seemed like half an hour. There were only silent tears now, escaping her eyes once a while. She was no longer in Minho's embrace, but was facing him, both of them seperated with a small distance. Minho's hand was still on her back, and would eventually move to her head to caress her hair and that seemed to have helped her in soothing a bit as, that was exactly how her mother would caress her hair.

"Tell me, whatever is bothering you. Don't keep it to yourself.", Minho spoke, looking into Haejin's eyes but she avoided his eyes. Looking into his eyes which were full of care and concern only made her feel awful.

"I-its nothing.", Haejin tried to speak but her voice came out choked and broken and of course Minho didn't believe her. He really wanted her to voice out her thoughts even if he couldn't help her, because just voicing out her thoughts will help her accept things and clear her own mind.

A tear once again escaped her eye but this time Minho wiped her tear with his thumb. "I can see through you.", he spoke Haejin's eyes left his, hating how she was so transparent at the moment.

Haejin looked back into Minho's eyes, her eyes watering again and tears threatening to fall from them. "I'm sorry Minho...", she spoke finally letting out what has been lingering on her lips for a while.

"Huh?", Minho asked, with a frown forming on his face. Why was she saying sorry and that also to him? He waited for her to elaborate but she didn't. He almost questioned Haejin again when she spoke, "I'm sorry for being a burden. You have your own life but I-", she spoke further but couldn't complete when Minho moved forward and pressed his lips on hers, shushing her.

Haejin was flabbergasted at the sudden action, but didn't stop Minho from doing that. She closed her eyes, leaning into the kiss and she could feel his warm breath, due to which her heartbeat increased. Minho's warm lips, which felt so soft on her lips started moving, as slowly and gently as they could. She got so lost in the feeling of his lips that she almost forgot to reciprocate the action. When Haejin started moving her lips with his, while her hand reached Minho's chest, she could feel his heartbeat and that how she wasn't the only one with an abnormal heart rate.

Both of their lips moved carefully, as if it would hurt the other person if they increased their pace even by a little. Strangely, Haejin felt a sense of comfort while kissing Minho and it made her want to continue kissing him. When Haejin's hands moved further from Minho's chest to his neck, she felt as if Minho smiled while kissing her and she kissed him back with as much care as he kissed her with.

Minho took Haejin's upper lip between his and kissed it, finally breaking the kiss. He didn't know why kissed her, but he didn't regret even a second of it and he surely wanted to do it again.

Minho looked straight into Haejin's eyes, her eyes leaving his as she realised what just happened, her face turning red. They kissed.

"Look at me.", Minho spoke as he supported himself on his left elbow, cupping Haejin's cheek with his hand after turning her face in his direction. She looked at him, her eyes momentarily falling on his lips, which she noticed were definitely more pink than usual.
