Tears streamed down Gerard's cheeks as he sank onto his bed. He couldn't shake the feeling of being used, of being nothing to Frank. "I trusted him," Gerard whispered to himself. "I thought he cared about me, but it was all just a lie."

The realization hit Gerard like a punch to the gut. He had allowed himself to believe in Frank's kindness, in the possibility of redemption, only to have his hopes shattered into a million pieces.

Gerard's heart skipped a beat as the door creaked open, and he quickly wiped away his tears, trying to compose himself before Frank entered the room.

Frank's expression softened when he saw Gerard's tear-stained face, and he hesitated for a moment before stepping further into the room. "Gerard," he began and Gerard's eyes narrowed as he stared at Frank. "What do you want?" he asked.

Frank took a step closer. "I... I'm sorry, Gerard," he said. "I never meant to hurt you. I was just..." He trailed off and Gerard's jaw clenched, his fists balling at his sides. "Just what, Frank?" he demanded. "Just following your brother's orders? Just playing another one of your sick games?"

Frank winced at Gerard's words. "It's not like that," he protested. "I care about you, Gerard. More than you know." Gerard scoffed, shaking his head in disbelief. "If you cared about me, you wouldn't have lied to me," he retorted. "You wouldn't have used me to get something."

Frank took another step forward, reaching out towards Gerard. "I know I messed up," he admitted. "But please, Gerard, give me a chance to make it right. I'll do whatever it takes to earn your trust back."

Gerard recoiled slightly and he wanted to believe Frank's words, to believe that there was still goodness buried deep within him. But the wounds of betrayal ran deep, and Gerard wasn't sure if he could ever truly forgive and forget.

"Leave me alone, Frank," Gerard said, his voice barely above a whisper. "I need some time to think." Frank hesitated as he took a step closer. "Gerard, please," he implored. "I need you to understand. I was being greedy but now, I don't need anything but you."

"Me?" Gerard asked and Frank nodded. "Yes," he admitted. "I don't what this is but.. I really love you, Gerard."

"You left me alone in that basement, Frank. You abandoned me, like I was nothing and now you're telling me that you love me?"

Frank winced at Gerard's words. "I know," he said. "And I'm so sorry, Gerard. I can't change what happened, but I swear to you, I'll spend the rest of my life trying to make it up to you."

Gerard's eyes narrowed. "Why should I believe you?" he demanded. "Why should I trust anything you say?" Frank reached out  towards Gerard, his eyes pleading for forgiveness.

"Because I love you, Gerard," he confessed. "I know I don't deserve your forgiveness, but I swear to you, I'll spend every day proving to you that I'm worthy of your love."
