Frank drove and Gerard nervously fidgeted in the passenger seat, his palms clammy with anticipation.

It had been years since he last saw his parents.

"We're almost there, baby girl," Frank said, glancing over at him with a reassuring smile. "You ready?" Gerard nodded, his stomach fluttering with nerves. "Yeah, I think so," he replied.

Mikey had sent them the live location of Gerard's parents' house, and as they pulled up outside, Gerard's heart began to race with anticipation. He took a deep breath, steeling himself for the reunion.

"Here we go," Frank said softly, reaching out to squeeze Gerard's hand and with Frank by his side, Gerard stepped out of the car and approached the front door of the house.

His heart pounded in his chest as he raised his hand to knock, the sound echoing through the quiet neighborhood. After what felt like an eternity, the door swung open, and Gerard was greeted by the familiar sight of his parents standing on the other side. Tears welled up in his eyes as he took in their faces.

"Mom, Dad," Gerard choked out as he wrapped them both in a tight hug and tears streamed down Gerard's cheeks as he hugged his parents tightly. "I've missed you so much," he whispered and his parents held him close, their own tears mingling with his as they embraced their son after so many years apart.

"We've missed you too, Gerard," his mother, Donna said softly and Gerard buried his face in his mother's shoulder. "I'm sorry for everything," he murmured and his father, Donald squeezed his shoulder. "It's in the past now, son," he said. "All that matters is that you're here with us now."

They stood there in the doorway, wrapped in each other's arms. And as they cried tears of joy and relief, Gerard knew that he had finally found his way back home.

After they pulled apart, Gerard hesitated as he introduced Frank to his parents, knowing that they were aware of how they had met.

As he expected, Donald's expression darkened at the mention of Frank. "You!" Donald growled, his fists clenched at his sides as he glared at Frank. "You're the one who got my son mixed up in all this mess!"

Before anyone could react, his father lunged forward, his fist connecting with Frank's jaw with a sickening thud and Frank staggered backward from the force of the blow, his hand flying to his face to cradle the bruise forming on his cheek.

Gerard's heart raced with fear as he watched his father lash out at Frank. "Dad, stop!" he pleaded, stepping between them to try to defuse the situation but Donald's was unrelenting. "I won't let you hurt my son anymore!" he shouted.

Despite the pain throbbing in his jaw, Frank remained surprisingly calm, refusing to retaliate against Gerard's father. "I'm not here to cause trouble," he said firmly despite the ache in his jaw. "I care about Gerard, and I want to make things right."
