Doctor Who HS 2024: Night Of The Statue

Chapter 7:

As Sally, Ed and Lorraine rushed into the first room they saw, that was the kitchen. Ed slammed the door behind him. "What now?" Ed said. Sally took a look around the room and there was only one window over the sync and she said "try the window." Lorraine rushed over to the windows and tried to open it but it wouldn't budge "it must be stuck of something. It won't budge." Ed came over to try and help her push open the window but, it still wouldn't budge. Lorraine went and picked up a frying pan and said to Ed "duck." Once he got out of the way she threw the pan right at the window but it just bounced back off the glass, did nothing to it. "Okay that's not creepy at all." Sally said as The Angels started banging on the door. Ed quickly pushed the table over to the door to buy them a little more time to figure out what to do. "That should hold them for a bit longer but we need to find a way out of here like now." "You do know that we're in a kitchen right?" Sally said back to him sarcastically. Ed gave Sally a blank look as he said "not really the time for being sarcastic." "Sorry. I've been hanging around The Doctor too long." She said back to him.

"Keep your eyes on that door while we take a look around." Lorraine said to Sally. She kept her eyes firmly on the door while she kept Baby Larry clam. The banging got louder very quickly "guy's if you're going to find some secret door now would be a great time as that door isn't going to last much longer." Sally said to them both but, they didn't answer her back. They were too busy ripping the kitchen apart trying to something. Anything that could help them to get out of this situation before The Angle got in and took them so they could have Baby Larry.

Lucky it wasn't long before Lorraine found something "I think I've got something over here." She said to everyone. Ed went rushing over to her straight away as she was in a walk in cupboard that was full off rice's, seasonings and bread but there was also an entrance to the cellar and as she pulled open the door Ed was at her side and they both looked at each other before looking down into the blackness of the cellar. "What have you got?" Sally said to them. They both didn't say anything back to her until she decided to go over and see for herself what they were looking at. When she saw the darkness she looked at them both and said "we're going down there aren't we?" Lorraine shrugged and said "it's either go down there or die in here? So yeah we're going down there." After she said that Ed rushed over to some other cupboard to see if he could find a flashlight for them but as he was doing that The Angles broke the door down and the lights instantly started flickering. "Ed come on we need to move right now." Lorraine said to him in distress "two seconds." Ed said back as Sally and Lorraine had their eyes glued to The Angles. "Got it!" Ed said as he grabbed as flashlight and rushed back over to Lorraine and Sally. They all managed to get down into the cellar just as the light went out.

As the white light cleared The Doctor and Larry were unconscious on the floor but when The Doctor woke up he shot up right and looked around to see if there were any Angles near. There wasn't. He then went over to Larry to make sure he was alright by pulling his sonic out from inside his blazer and scanning Larry life signs "you're fine. Good." The Doctor said to himself as he looked at the readings before getting to his feet. He walked up the door of the room they bearly escaped from. He reached out and grabbed the handle and slowly twisted the nob and pushed the door open to see what was on the other side. Once the door was open it was like nothing happened in there. The room was back to normal "the perfect trap. Instantly resets its self once they've take the energy for whatever they need it for." The Doctor said to himself. "What happened." Larry said as he started coming around. The Doctor shut the door and said "they got what they wanted that's what happened." Larry sat up again the back wall and said "she's gone." The Doctor turned around to face him and said "I'm sorry Larry." The Doctor walked over and sat down next to Larry in silence for a while until he was ready to talk.

"I didn't even get to know them. They were gone before I got the chance." Larry said. The Doctor put his arm around him, brought him close and said "Larry I can't begin to imagine how you are feeling right now but I know you'll get thought this and it might not seem like that now but you will. I know you will." He didn't say anything back to The Doctor they both sat there for a while until they heard this strange screech. It was a piercing screech that hurt their ears when they first hear it causing to have to cover their ears as they got to there feet "what is that?" Larry shouted as he could hear how loud he was speaking. The Doctor didn't say anything back right away but, he moved his hands away from his ears and squinted as he reached into the inside pocket of his overcoat and pulled out some transparent ear plugs that were all linked up with communication devices and he placed two in his ears before putting another set in Larry's ears and said "Larry? Can you hear me?" The Doctor said. "Yeah I can hear you but how? What did you put in my ears?" He said back in wonder. The Doctor smiled and said "ear plugs. Well special ear plugs. Ones that are way above your technology as i have given them a bit of an upgrade." Larry said back "and why have up upgraded ear plugs?" "I got bored one day and I thought what's the one flaw here in ear plugs. You can't hear when you have them in." The Doctor said befllre Larry interrupted him and said "isn't that the whole point of ear plugs to block out noise?" "Yes but wouldn't it make them better if you could hear with them so, that's what I did as well as giving them a little something extra." He said. "Like what?" Larry said in suspense. "I bio-engineered them as well as soon as you placed them in you ears they link directly to your brain and allows you to use more of brain and heighten your hearing while blocking out noise you don't wanna like that screeching." The Doctor said. Larry said back with a bland look. Not impressed at all "and what exactly do you call them?" The Doctor looked very confused and he said "ear pieces. That's what I call them." After that he went shoot off down the hallway leaving Larry to digest what nonsense he had just listen too before he finally went to catch up with him.

"What was that noise." Larry said as he caught up to The Doctor rushing down the stairs. "It's The Angles." "What do you means it's The Angles?" Larry said back with confusion. "They're laughing. The Angles are laughing." The Doctor said.
