SOME WOULD SAY, Medusa was prettier than Aphrodite. According to a legend she was the most beautiful women ever, even more so than the goddess Aphrodite. Aphrodite was both jealous and angry that a mere mortal could surpass her and even her beloved was infatuated with her.

Carmen knew that Aphrodite didn't like Medusa. So she was scared that Medusa would kill her for being the daughter of the goddess.

Medusa worshiped Athena and as Athena worshiped virginity. It's why Annabeth was born as a gift to the man Athena loved. Medusa had an affair without her own consent with the father of the boy Carmen was beside.

Percy and Carmen walked in the house first. She took in all the smells of the different foods that were laid out on the dining table. There were candies, fruits, and many different foods. Carmen had gone to heaven when she saw the candy apples. Grover came from behind heart eyeing the food in-front of him.

Percy looks at Grover and Carmen whispering, "You think it's safe to eat?" Then looked back at the food.

Carmen swallowed hard she was so hungry. She was wanting to take the chance of the food killing her but who would care, her mother wasn't around and she didn't have a dad.

"Percy, i'm not gonna lie to you, i'm really hungry. And i'm really to take that chance." Grover said whispering back. Making Carmen nod.

"I really want an apple."

Then Annabeth walked in making the rest of them turn around. Carmen smiled at her.

"Thanks for coming."

Annabeth looked around the room. Then to Percy and Grover.

"This isn't the same for me or Carmen as it is for you." She said towards Percy. Till Medusa walked in the dining room.

"Why?" Percy asked looking Carmen for an answer.

"You're concerned I would hold a grudge against you two simply because you are the daughters of Athena and Aphrodite? You shouldn't be. We're not our parents after all. And you two and I might have more in common than you think." Medusa said making everyone look away from her. They just stood where they were not moving or saying anything. "Please, sit and eat."
