"TAKE THIS TO PERCY." Said Carmen Miranda she wrapped her letter as she was sitting at a bench in the city of Chicago and passed the letter to the Dove that was her messenger. She came across many different monsters but as her mother had told her that she would protect her on the way to meet her father.

There she stood. In front of an apartment building. She read a book she found which she would assume was from her mother and inside had this specific address. She had taken a taxi to get to the address.

Carmen walked inside the apartment and started to walk up the stairs to apartment 505. As she was walking up the long staircase she decided it was too much so she went inside the elevator. She clicked the highest floor and waited.

Her heart was pounding, What if he doesn't like me. What if he yells or throws me out? Her thoughts were cut short when the elevator door opened. She walked out and started to look for apartment 505.

There it was the apartment that homes her father whom she hasn't spoken to. She was staring at the door which had the number 505 in black bold numbers. She finally gave herself enough courage to raise her arm and knock on the door.

Her hand was shaking as she lowered her hand to her side. She was now nervously chewing her lip. Then the door started to creak open and there she saw a man. With a cigarette in his mouth his hair shaggy and curly. With dark brown waves. With the same exact eyes as Carmen.

"Look, I have already bought multiple cookies already. I don't need anymore." The man said as he was about to shut the door.

Carmen stood there her mouth opened slightly trying to speak. As her dad stared at her for a good amount of time he was slowly closing the door till she snapped out of it and spoke.

"Look. I'm not selling cookies I was sent here because I need answers." Carmen said as the man opened the door again.

"What answers?" The man ask confused on what the girl was talking about. And why she came to him.

Carmen stared at him. He was handsome and she wouldn't expect less from Aphrodite. "Gods, I have my father's eyes." Carmen said as she stared into his eyes.

That was when Samuel Miranda's eyes opened in shock. He started to choke on the smoke in his lungs of the cigar. "W—What?" He spat out.

Admiration turned into anger. Carmen started to walk into his apartment yelling pointing at the man as he continued to walk backwards staring at Carmen. "I watch the fathers with their little girls. And wonder what I did to deserve this. Why I wasn't good enough. Why I needed my memories erased. Why I couldn't have a family! All of my pain and all your excuses. I was a kid but I wasn't clueless. Someone who loves you wouldn't do this. All of my past, I tried to erase it. But now I see, would I even change it? Might share a face and share a last name, but, We are not the same!" Carmen yelled at him as her eyes were now wet with tears.

Samuel Miranda was stunned. "Carmen?"

"What do you think?" Carmen yelled sarcastically.

"I'm so sorry my daughter. I'm so sorry." He said with tears in his eyes. The cigarette was long gone into ashes but the smell still lingered in the air and on his clothes. He turned to her as he opened his arms for her to hug him. She looked at him and gave in. "I'm so sorry. I'm so sorry." He mumbled as her placed kisses on her head.
