Chapter 39

Lauren arrived home earlier than usual, excited for her game night with Dinah. Tonight, they were competing for the prize as always: a car. These game nights were a favorite among everyone in the family; watching the two friends play and banter was always entertaining for the kids and their wives.

"Dinah, don't throw chips on the floor, or else you're cleaning it up," Camila warned her best friend, while massaging her wife's shoulders.

"Ah, your wife is cheating, Mila. Tell her to stop," Dinah complained dramatically, throwing herself on the floor like a child and tossing the game controller as she realized she was losing."You just don't know how to play. Come on, there's still one more round left," Lauren encouraged, nudging Dinah playfully.

"Nope, keep the car to yourself, I'm good," Dinah shrugged, grabbing herself a beer. "How about whoever wins gets to pick the destination for this summer trip?" Elijah suggested.

"No, no, The wives always get to choose" Normani declared, giving her son a stern look to shut down any attempts to change their plans. "You always choose, it's a pretty good idea" Dinah pouted.

"Yes, and we always will," Camila chimed in, standing with Normani. If the two of them were to choose, they would likely pick a destination without much shopping, which was a nightmare just to think about, feeling goosebumps just by imagining .

"Just this time, baby," Lauren pleaded, holding her wife's hand as she thought it was actually a good idea to let the winners decide.

"Nope Cabello, don't give in to those puppy eyes," Normani warned, seeing Camila being swayed by her wife's coaxing.

"We're deciding. End of discussion," Camila replied firmly, turning her head to indicate that her decision was final, despite the persuasive power of Lauren's eyes.

"I thought we were going to Europe this year," Amelia chimed in.

"Yes, we t—AS ALWAYS!" Lauren exclaimed, throwing her hands up in exasperation, interrupting her wife.

" It's a great destination, makes everyone satisfied, we're going to Europa park for the kids, then Switzerland and Italy for shopping, that's it" Normani shared their plan, " What about us?" Lauren asked pointing at her and Dinah

" Yeah what about us? you got a plan for the kids and yourselves, now what about us?" Dinah joined in. 

" Well you get a suite with a jacuzzi and a king sized bed, and us. What else could you ask for?" Normani said pointing at them, making them shut their mouths, better not to argue or you will staying in a single bed room.

" It's summer, Can we go to a water park or something? We have visited Europa park hundred times already" Amelia exclaimed, " Yeah, how about Siam park?" Ava chimed in agreeing with her sister 

" Or Thailand for example? " Elijah suggested again, Both family kept discussing about their summer trip, yet not settling on a destination even though Normani and Camila already had planned everything.

" Guys shut it, already booked everything" Normani tried to shush everyone, As everyone was invested in the heated discussion only to get ignored in return
