It was like his scent followed me everywhere I go, filling my brain and drowning out my senses. It was as if the entire house was covered in nothing but his scent, teasing me, toying with me.

It was as if something else was controlling me, I was no longer in control of myself, all I thought about was mating with Derek, nothing more and nothing less.

But as much as I wanted this I had to fight this, I had to look at the bigger picture, I had to remember that there was a bigger objective to deal with.

Eve tackled me as we both landed on the ground with Eve on top of me.

"Ava if what you say is true then you can't risk this!" She shouted at me.

"I don't care what I said, Eve I need him please," I pleaded.

She shook her head as she remained on top of me. Sensations throughout my body began to fill so extreme and unbearable I knew I had to act fast.

I outstretched my wings I wrapped them around both Eve and I.

"Ava what are you doing?" Eve shrieked.

I stood up and opened my wings as a strong wing gushed from them, knocking Eve away from me. There was another howl coming from Derek's room, this time much more urgent and desperate. I dashed down the hall and up the stairs and burst through the door where Derek was being held down by chains, Ariel and Zachary.

I ran over and grabbed Zachary and Ariel to toss them aside. Derek got up and tried to walk towards me but the chains restricted him from doing so.

"Ava get away from-"

I raised my hand and both Ariel and Zachary were sent flying out of the room. I stood in front of the door and put up a protective shield so that no one else would be allowed to enter. Zachary, Ariel and Eve all came running towards the door but were immediately stopped by the barrier. They banged on it, trying desperately to enter but couldn't do so.

"Ava don't do this," Eve pleaded with me as she looked me in the eyes.

I smirked as I grabbed for the door.

"Too late," I slammed the door shut.

Eve's POV

"Well there's no stopping those two now," Ariel shrugged as she floated away.

"I didn't know the mate pull during the full moon could be that strong," I said, shaking my head.

I walked down the stairs and headed straight outside, looking up at the full moon and admiring it.

The moon was big and bright compared to the vast darkness surrounding it.

"Why were we even stopping them in the first place?" Zachary questioned as he walked up to me.

"Apparently once they mate Ava will have a strong urge to kill him in order for them to remain mates," I explained.

"I don't understand the whole gist of it but I guess there's nothing left to do now," Zachary said calmly.

I looked at him with confusion. He was taking this rather calmly than I was expecting him to be.

"Why are you looking at me like that?" He asked annoyed.

"Well asshole, I was just wondering why you were taking this so calmly," I hissed.

"What's done is done, she will always be attracted to her mate and I will always be a phase that Ava has gone through, all I can do now is stay out of the way and cause no drama," He said a bit sadly.
