I ran up to the guardian and yanked him off of Eve until he was sent flying backwards. He landed on his feet and glared at me. Just as he was about to attack my I raised my large black wings so they were visible to everyone and ripped away at the color of my shirt revealing the symbol of a sword crossing a pair of Angel wings. The symbol of the assassins, something that we all had.
"My apologies, Alatum sicarius," I looked down to see him on one knee bowing.
There were different obligations when it came to becoming an Angel, servant, messenger, guardian, protectors, Angels of nature, Angels of Death, Angels of life but Assassination happened to be one of the top rankings because it required a level of skill since no mortal or immortal was safe from us. It was a dangerous job that only few could handle.
"Why are you not guarding the gates of the Underworld?" I asked.
He rose rose from his position and looked at me with his stormy black eyes. They say you could see the entrance of the the Underworld from the eyes of a Guardian.
"Alatum Sicarius, I was looking for this one," He pointed towards Eve. Eve got up and looked at herself as she realized she was still in Liam's form. She shook her head and slowly began to shift back to her original form.
"It seems I was mistaken, shape shifters are a rare phenomenon amongst Angels so I didn't bother to check, I apologize," He said as he bowed.
"She was helping me train that's all, the one you are looking for is named Liam and he's incredibly strong and powerful so we will need your help," I said.
"Alatum Sicarius, I'm-"
"Just call me Ava please, the formal names are a bit annoying don't you think? Come inside and I will explain things to you," I beckoned him to follow me.
"Ava? I don't need your help," He said, staying exactly where he was.
I looked back at him and raised my eyebrow.
"I don't care whether or not you need my help, it is my task to destroy Liam, a monster I created so COME INSIDE," I hissed the last part.
He hesitated before walking into the house after me. We walked inside and the noticed the guardian looking around at the interior, as if fascinated.
"What's your name?" I asked him.
"Lucas is what I can be referred to as," He said.
"Well Lucas want to let me know how that asshole escaped from the Underworld?" I growled.
He looked at me with a blank expression on his face.
"I'm sorry but that information is classified," Lucas said.
"Listen Lucas, you better have a plan on catching this guy because he ruined her life and she deserves some justice, I don't give a shit if you wanna work alone, this Angel is the highest ranking and closest to the moon goddess and you will work with her to stop this son of a bitch," Eva shouted.
Lucas looked at me and turned his head to the side. "All I want is to comprehend the fugitive Archangel, if we can do this without disruptions then I guess I can work with you,"
"Don't worry, all distractions are gone now where do we start?" I asked.
"Tracking him won't be an option, we have to make him come to us," Lucas said.
"And how do we do-" Eva started to say before I smacked her.
"He wants me dead and I know Liam accepts a challenge no matter what. Maybe I could challenge him and he would have no choice but to come here," I said excitedly.
