Chapter 28.

"Ava please stop you can't do this, I have to tell you something important!" Eva shouted.

"It can wait!" I snapped as I turned to her.

I stared long and hard at her broken wing and that was when I considered hearing what she had to say.

"Please take him away from me, I can't control myself around him," I sighed as the vines began to loosen their grip around me.

I heard struggling for a bit until I heard Derek finally say "I can handle myself," He growled.

As soon as I knew he walked away I looked up and looked at Eve.

"What's wrong, what happened to your wing?" I asked immediately.

"Last night Liam found me and attempted to get him to help me with something or else he would hurt you. I said no and he slammed me against a boulder which broke my wing and it surprisingly didn't heal. Listen Liam is out for your blood and he knows that Derek is your mate so he knows your weak spot and he will use it against you," Eve explained and pleaded.

I felt myself growing hotter and angrier by the minute. How dare Liam attack my sister just to come after me, if he wanted he knows he better come straight to me.

"We need to track him down now, I don't care what it takes we just need to find him before it gets to us. Zachary and Ariel I need you to bring Derek back to his pack, he needs to clear a few things up before he can fully join us," I ordered.

"Ava we are we going to do?" Eve asked me.

I looked her dead in her eyes and smirked.

"We are going to train,"

"Ava I can't train with a broken wing," She rolled her eyes.

"Well it's not going to heal because you didn't snap it back into place, technically the boulder broke your wing and not him so it should heal," I walked over to her and grabbed her wing as she hissed in pain.

"Count to three and I'll snap it back into place," I said.

She nodded her head as she flinched.

"One..."

I grabbed her wing and immediately snapped the joint back into place. She screamed out in pain and back away from me.

"You said count to three!" She screamed at me.

I grinned at her mischievously,

"You would have expected it,"

"Alright so what's going with you and Derek?" She asked.

I sighed.

"I can't help myself, every time I see him I want to murder him but not because I hate him, because I love him and I want him to be with me forever,"

"Forever sounds like a lot of sex, hope you know a bunch of positions to try," She giggled.

I glared at her.

"You're not being serious, this isn't just about sex Eva," I scolded.

"By the way you were throwing us around just to get to Alpha Derek seemed like sex is a major part of the package," She giggled.

I groaned and turned away from her.

"Speaking of package, would you care to share how big-"

"Evangeline! Now is not the time to ask such questions!" I shouted as I covered my ears.

'Talking about me to your sister?' I heard his snarky voice in my head.

No, she's just asking uncomfortable questions about you.

'Why don't you answer then? Is it too much for her to handle?'

I growled out loud my accident causing Eve to look at me weirdly.

"I'm sorry I was talking to Derek," I said.

Watch what you say out of your mouth Derek.

"Ava come on, Ariel and Zachary went back with Derek so let's go train now since my wing is healed," Eve said, pulling my arm.

I followed her outside and watched as she placed a protective shield around us.

"Now remember Ava, give your best shot, I won't die so hit me like you would hit Liam,"

At the moment she said that I immediately punched her straight in the jaw. She staggered backwards and grabbed her jaw before looking up at me and smirking.

"That wasn't your hardest hit, you need a little motivation," She said.

"I won't be able to give you my all unless Liam is standing directly in front of me," I rolled my eyes.

She thought for a moment and I watched as she began to grow taller and her physical features change and before I knew it I looked up to see Liam staring down at me smirking.

"How about this? Does this make you want to rip my throat out?" Eve asked in Liam's deep tone.

I huffed loudly and pulled out my bow and arrows.

I knew it was my sister just trying to bring. out my inner beast but whenever I looked at her in this form I saw that horrible monster I wanted nothing more to get rid of.

"Give me your all," She smirked.

I sent an arrow whizzing towards her but she quickly dodged out of the way.

She raced towards me and pulled out her silver knives, I quickly smacked her away with my wings sending her flying into the shield. She landed on her feet and glared at me.

Silver knives began to appear in her hands as she began launching them at me lightening speed. I tried to block most of them but they began cutting away at my skin.

I flapped my giant black wings at her causing a gush of wind to speed towards her, she jumped out of the way and landed behind me. Before I could react, she wrapped her giant bat like wings around me, crushing me. I felt trapped and crushed, I knew if this was actually Liam he would kill me instantly. I pulled out a knife and cut straight through the skin between the wings.

She pushed me away from her and let out a giant screech like a bat. I opened my mouth and a stream of fire came rushing out towards her til she was knocked backwards against the dome and struggled to get up. I rushed forward, towards her and held a blade up to her neck.

Just as I was about to finish the job I heard voices in my head and visions began to appear in my mind.

I saw a fuzzy image of Ariel and Zachary walking in front, frustrated.

'Is Ava alright?' I recognized it as Derek's voice in my head.

Shit, I didn't mean to enter into his mind right now. I felt something push hard onto my stomach and I was sent flying against the dome. I felt my spine shatter and repair painfully.

I landed on the ground and cracked a few ribs which also healed painfully.

Eve walked up to me, still in Liam form and smirked.

She flipped me around and straddled me while holding a knife to my heart.

"You have to do something about Derek, He is a distraction that could easily get you killed," She said.

There was a loud screech and I watched as the entire protective shield shattered around us. Eve was yanked away from me as I sat up to see a tall man in shite slacks, no shirt and no shoes. He had extremely long blonde hair down to his back and blacked eyes as his white wings spread out.

Within the Angel assassins, wing color determines your rank but Angels throughout all worlds are ranked by the symbol burned into your chest over your heart.

Right now the symbol burnt onto this Angel's chest was a pair of giant bat like wings on a giant gate.

He was a Guardian of the Underworld.
