A few days passed and things have been fine. Nightmare is really enjoying these new books and he almost finished all of them already. He started reading the last one yesterday's evening and let's say he loves it a lot. He would have stayed up all night if it wasn't for Dream insisting for him to go to sleep.

Also the food here is actually pretty good. Some of it is kind of similar to the stuff Dream would sometimes bring from the village for them to share and some is absolutely new to him. When he had pasta for the first time, he fell in love with it. It tastes really good.

Overall he has been feeling a bit better since he woke up. The pain in his bones is not that significant anymore and his head doesn't get dizzy as often as it used to. He still has to take a suspicious amount of pills and the doctor's visits can be a bit annoying, but he actually does feel better.

He also got to meet another new person. Her name is Shyren and she is the doctor, who is in charge of his rehabilitation lessons. She is pretty nice and the time he has to spend with her is pretty quiet and enjoyable. She helps him with his movement. He is now able to sit up without a problem. He was actually able to stand  just fine during their last lesson, but it seems like his body is still not fully ready to walk. Though Shyren says that they will mostly focus on it in their next lessons. He really misses being able to freely move. He's getting tired of being stuck in bed all day.

Just a few minutes ago the doctor's paid him a visit to tell him about the actual problem with his left eye. He was told that his eyelight had suffered some bad damage in the past and he will need some kind of surgery to help with that. Help with it, not fix it. Apparently they will not be able to fully fix his eyesight in his left eye. It will be just slightly better. Well, that's at least something.

So here he is now, sitting in his bed with a book in his hands. At least Dream is keeping him company. Well, he was 3 minutes ago. He again ran off, saying that he had another little surprise for him. Nightmare can’t help, but wonder what it could be. Maybe some more books? Who knows, what his silly brother got for him.

After a minute the doors open and Dream walks in. Though he isn't holding any books. Instead he got a chair with wheels and a small bag hung over his shoulder.

“Night, look what I got! I got a wheelchair for you!” Dream says with an excited grin. “I know that you don’t really like being stuck in your bed in this small room all day, so I thought about it and got an idea. I went and talked with the doctors and actually got permission for you to go outside!” Dream says smiling.

Nightmare looks at Dream and then at the wheelchair. He can't help but admit that he would love to go outside for at least a few minutes. Excitement starts to grow inside his soul. “I can finally go outside?” Nightmare asks, just to be sure. “Yes.” Dream assures him.

Dream then helps his brother to get into the wheelchair. Nightmare let's Dream push the wheelchair, while he looks around, examining the long white halls of the hospital.

Finally they arrive at the exit of the building and venture out. The first sight isn't as exciting as he imagined. There wasn't really much nature around. Though soon after a short while they arrived at the nearby park.

As Dream slowly rolls his wheelchair on the path, Nightmare can't help but genuinely smile. The nice and fresh air, the birds singing, the nature around him… it feels freeing. He really needed to get out. This feels so calming and you can even say it's familiar. He grew up and lived in nature his whole life. Being stuck in a white room, an unknown place with strangers around him made him feel on edge. This park might not be close to what their home was like, but just being outside made him feel so much better.
