A rune symbol that flickered and shifted faster and faster, emitting a bright white light.
"Wake up" it demanded.
"I am not done with you yet," it said.
Air rushed through her body, hitting her with the force of a speeding train—at least, that's what it felt like.
She gasped for breath, glancing around, her body feeling unusually limp and weak, like her joints had been strained down for far too long and she had just found the strength to get back up.
She found herself in the center of a summoning circle, surrounded by blown-out candles that still emitted a faint scent of oak wood and lavender. The circle must have been drawn a while ago, as its light had already faded.
To her right, she saw Horus, his expression mirroring her surprise, and he smiled at her.
"Holy freaking Seth!" he laughed.
Aral felt a wave of nausea as she stood up from where she had been lying, her memories rushing through her head, flashes of Umbra and Luminara stained her head.
"I- We- We were dead.." She mumbled, realizing this, created this deep pit in her.
Was she really that vulnerable?
She placed her hand on her heart- or where it was meant to be, she solidified.
Not a single beat.
Horus mimicked her, and his jaw dropped.
"Holy hell! Auuuggghh, I hate being life-linked to you" Horus whined.
"We're alive Horus! You know what that means?" Aral said cheerfully. Horus side-eyed her in response.
"No?" He said, standing up.
"Lumi needs us!" She said, jumping up and down in excitement.
"She's all you ever think about now- She's only a spirit, just like us" Horus grumbled in disapproval, maybe even jealousy, crossing his arms.
"Well she's more than that to me," Aral said.
Aral bolted for the door, standing outside, looking up at the sky; the second the sun's rays touched her skin, she felt rejuvenated, empowered, even.
She looked back at Horus, who gave her a look and slowly followed, groaning about her and the other spirits under his breath.
Horus yanked his pendant, and instantly, it expanded and transformed into a motorbike of sleek, formidable design. The bike, now fully materialized, looked like a creature born from the darkest nights and the swiftest winds.
The frame was a blend of obsidian black and silver, with smooth, luminescent golden runes surrounded by golden flowing lines that lead to the ankh symbol, giving it a predatory, aerodynamic appearance. The bodywork was composed of high-grade, lightweight alloy, ensuring both strength and agility. The fuel tank bore intricate silver patterns that resembled ancient runes, glowing faintly with an otherworldly light.
The front of the bike was dominated by an angular, aggressive-looking headlamp, which emitted a piercing, azure light capable of cutting through the thickest darkness. The handlebars were adorned with leather grips, worn but meticulously maintained, providing a firm and comfortable hold.
The wheels were wide and disconnected from the bike, floating, and seemed to use magnetic tension to stay intact with the bike. It had rugged treads designed for both speed and traction. The rims were made of polished chrome, gleaming brightly against the dark body of the bike. The exhaust pipes, sleek and streamlined, ran parallel to the frame and emitted a low, throaty rumble when the engine roared to life with excitement.
