The trio had been walking down the same path for an hour, nothing had changed. Luminara could see the same ancient trees looming down on them and the same stones in the same locations. Clarinet suddenly stopped, and her wings began to twitch.
"Something isn't right- These are the same trees, same dirt- We've been walking in circles" Clarinet muttered.
"Ha! I Told you it was reverse physiology" Horus cackled.
"What?! That was Lumi's idea" Aral argued.
"And mine-" Horus sang smugly.
"AUUUGH- You're so infuriating!" Aral kicked a stone and stormed off, still arguing behind a tree with Horus in some other language. Clarinet was officially asking bugs and talking to trees now.
Luminara crouched and investigated the area where the stone used to be. there was a hole, and frankly, Luminara could fit her finger through it, the ground under them was hollow. There was something down there, someplace-
"Hey, Clarinet, I think there's something under us" Luminara brushed her hands against the grass until she felt something under a particularly suspicious leaf. A stone button, Luminara pressed it, she could hear a distant noise of sliding and cranking.
"HOLY FREAKING RA!" Aral screeched, her voice fading into the distance.
"You found it! Come on everybody, let's go!" Clarinet said, Luminara turned around to see a large pit in the ground, it seemed too deep to see what was below, and a second later Clarinet was happily jumping in.
"What I the..?" Luminara said, sitting on the edge of the pit.
"Come on down Lumi! It's okay!" Aral's voice called out.
"I- uh... I know I shouldn't be asking this- but can you catch me?" Luminara asked awkwardly. A minute of silence followed, "Y-yeah" Aral stammered. She sighed, sliding down. She held in every ounce of air in her lungs and watched as their only source of light shut close above them. She tightened her fists and glued shut her eyes, the air just seemed to cover her as she fell for a straight 25 seconds before landing into Aral's arms.
"Wow, that was- deep" Luminara's voice echoed, she dropped out of Aral's arms.
"Thank you- Holy flying stars..."
A Labyrinth was a celestial maze of illuminated halls and corridors. The walls emitted a gentle, radiant glow, casting ethereal patterns across the labyrinthine pathways. Celestial symbols flickered along the walls, guiding those who navigated its ambiguous depths.
Aral, reacting with her reflexes, perceived the sudden energy shift.
"This place is MASSIVE- AND ENDLESS" Horus shouted.
"Oh come on- it's not that big!- Oh, what is this place?" Aral smiled
"It's a labyrinth" Luminara answered, Clarinet yelped, looking up to see if the entrance was still open, and frankly it was sealed off.
"Let's get going, the quicker we get out of here the quicker we can fight against Nocturnis," Luminara said, her hand placed against the wall as she continued her descent through the labyrinth. The labyrinth's radiant glow cast a celestial halo around the trio as they hovered in the illuminated abyss.
Navigating through the Luminous Labyrinth, Clarinet, Aral, and Luminara found themselves immersed in a celestial journey that unfolded within the maze's radiant embrace. The labyrinth, with its illuminated halls and celestial symbols, became a cosmic tableau where earthly and otherworldly elements converged:
The labyrinth's walls emitted a gentle, ethereal glow, illuminating the pathways with ethereal luminescence. Symbols embedded within the walls sparkled like distant stars, guiding the trio through the celestial corridors. The interplay of light and shadow created a mesmerizing dance along the labyrinth's expanse.
Horus ran ahead, getting impatient.
"Not more of these crossroads" Horus groaned loudly from the distance above.
Clarinet followed them at the back of the line, which Luminara found weird considering that she apparently knew the way to the sanctuary.
Periodically, the labyrinth presented obstacles—puzzles of light, shifting pathways, and illusions. As they progressed deeper, the labyrinth unveiled a nexus at its heart—a convergence point of celestial energies. The nexus pulsed with a rhythm, and the trio sensed that this celestial juncture held the key to unlocking the labyrinth's celestial mysteries.
"We've reached the heart of the labyrinth" Luminara gasped. "It's not only the heart Lumi" Aral said. "It's also the exit" Clarinet contained. "Let's make like a comet and get the Khonsu outta here" Horus chuckled. "Very bad pun. Ra would be disappointed" Aral coughed.
"WAIT!!" Somebody screamed, running towards them. Clarinet grabbed both of them and yanked them away from what seemed like the exit.
