-Misty's P.O.V.-
I wish I could say that after Sara came into the Zeta house it's been great but then I'd be lying to myself and only myself because she was perfect. I mean there was absolutely nothing wrong with her, she was sweet, responsible, intelligent, and everyone seemed to like her. If someone was sick in the house she'd go out of her way to make them a batch of soup, or she'd take over some of the cleaning duties of one of our fellow sisters just because she "liked" cleaning. She'd smile, she'd laugh, she'd make everyone feel comfortable but as I laughed and smile at all her jokes the pit in my stomach would just kick me deeper and deeper. I didn't want to think she was a bad person, she was nice after all...It could also explain why Alex, Chrishell, Tess, and I were sitting in the backyard beside the pool talking about asking her to come into our sorority.
In my opinion they were deciding and I was just along for the ride, kicking my feet against the water, and staring idle up at the dark-night sky. There were tons of stars out and I carefully traced imaginary figures with my eyes, watching them flicker and twinkle every time I thought up a new image.
"Okay! We have to vote her in, she's perfect for Zeta!" Alex chimed.
Tess and Chrishell nodded their heads in agreement, of course they would Tess and Sara spend bonding time together either playing video games, or baking treats for the girls, Chrishell has been teaching Sara dance moves in the living room.
My feet pushed the water some more and I continued stargazing until Alex called my name out. I turned to her.
"Huh?" I asked her.
She cocked her head to the side giving me a weird look. "I said, do you think we should ask her to join Zeta?" She asked me.
There was no way I could say no with Tess and Chrishell looking at me like I absolutely had to say yes, that I was going to say no. I didn't want anyone thinking that I was skeptical about Sara, she was perfect after all.
I smiled. "Yea...we should." I replied.
They all clapped and smiled.
"We'll the president says yes, so its done." Tess stated.
I wasn't feeling much of a president right at this moment, to be honest I felt forced into my decision but I kept my mouth shut, like I was doing a lot these days. They all settled on telling her tomorrow morning and just like that our little pool-side meeting was adjourned and we were heading back to our bedrooms. I was walking by myself, my thoughts were caught in a ramble of confusion and suspicion when a voice shook me out of it. I stopped at the sound, it was coming from Sara's bedroom.
Curiosity swept over me like a tidal wave and I had the instant need to creep over to her door and listen. Upon closer analyzation, I realized she was on the phone, she was laughing and sounding incredibly flirtatious.
"Jayden, you're always making me laugh." She giggled.
I was a bit taken back. Jayden?
It couldn't be my Jayden, my boyfriend Jayden...the one who even failed to send me a text for a day and a half, and just because I physically saw him yesterday he barley stayed and the entire time he spoke to Sara.
She was silent for a moment before she began speaking up again.
"Yea we should definitely hang out together sometime." She replied.
I continued to listen not believing my ears.
"Yea, we need to get closer, you're like a stranger." She said.
