*Marshall's POV*

"Pups let's have a movie night," Ryder says as we all come together in the living room it was around seven thirty pm and we were exhausted from playing all day so a movie night felt like the perfect solution. We usually had one once every two weeks and they were my favorite because sitting down and watching a movie was relaxing

"What should we watch," Rocky says, they've had many movie nights so picking a movie was a tricky part because they didn't want to watch something they've already seen.

"How about we watch an action movie," I suggest it's been a while since we saw something with fighting so it felt like a good idea.Although we'll probably just end up watching another movie with romance which I didn't mind either.

"Sure that sounds like a great idea, "Chase says, as the other pups agree we put on an action movie, and about halfway through my mind completely blanks and I think about Everest. She always crosses my mind throughout the day, as I sit and think about all the good memories we've had together thinking maybe there's a chance she could like me back.

Who am I kidding who in the world would like me back? I'm the clumsiest pup in the world, why would someone like Everest who is perfect in every way like someone who is far from perfect,

Chase notices me and asks"Hey Marshall you okay, do you not like the movie, is it the popcorn, or are you tired" Chase always cares about me so much which is why I love him like a brother he's someone I can always rely on.

"I'm alright guess I just zoned out," I say even though now he knows I like Everest I don't want to tell him I zone out thinking about her, for some reason I find that embarrassing how much I think about her.

"You sure it looked like you were thinking about something, or something is bothering you, you can tell me anything please just tell me what's up."I don't understand how he can guess what's wrong with me every time, I'm starting to think he can read my mind.

Still not wanting to tell him I simply just shrug and say "Chase don't worry about me I'm fine" as I pat his shoulder and continue to watch the movie. As much as I hate keeping secrets and lying to Chase, I just can't tell right now, but later I will

As the movie finishes we all say our goodnights and goodbyes but I get stopped by someone."Yo dude that was a good movie right" Zuma says to me, he's the pup I spend the least amount of time with which I feel bad about but also he doesn't seem to mind.

"Yeah that was a good movie, really was a lot of fighting, huh, well anyways I guess I should start heading to bed because *yawns* I'm tired, "I say he gives me a look that I've never seen from Zuma that much.

"Hold on I need to tell you something," He says, uh-oh this can't be good what if he found out I like Everest or worse what if he likes her or-"MARSHALL" Zuma shouts knocking me right out of my trance.

"Huh o-oh sorry Zuma, "I say kinda softly looking down to the ground I can hear a chuckle from Zuma "It's alright dude I'm not mad at you just wanted to know why you were zoned out for like eighty percent of the movie" EIGHTY PERCENT I swear I thought I was zoned out for like 5 minutes but I guess not

I had to think of something quick otherwise Zuma could find out. I replied with a simple "I don't know I guess I'm just tired" I don't think it will fool Zuma though he's smart and can also read people.

"Well okay then I guess goodnight Marshall, make sure you get a good sleep okay" "Okay Zuma I will," I said as I saw him leave and walk towards his puphouse. I'm so stupid obviously he didn't fall for it he just didn't want to push my buttons so he left, man I need to come up with better excuses.
