Marshall could only look at Rocky with a very shocked expression on his face. The pup he had a crush on for years now was going on a date with Rocky.

"H-How..."

Rocky looked at him as if he was a serial killer waiting to make a move on the Dally. "Because Marshall, I'm not a coward, and I knew that Everest would say yes because she wants a man who isn't afraid to have a conversation with her and even look at her."

*Flashback to earlier in the morning*

Rocky was in his house thinking of the best way to ask out Everest for a date. Today has to be the day since she would be leaving later that day.

"Okay so I want to make it somewhat romantic so she knows I really like her, but... I don't to make it super corny either because it would make it weird and make me look bad. That's something Marshall would do. That's the reason she wouldn't want to be with him, he makes stupid corny jokes that aren't even funny and they just make him look more stupid than he ever is."

Rocky and Marshall never hated each other, believe it or not, they used to be really good friends up until Rocky found out that Marshall had a huge crush on the Husky. It might be somewhat childish but Rocky wanted to win Everest's heart and Marshall was someone in the way.

It wasn't a secret that there was another member on the team who also had a small crush on the Husky as well. It was the member that joined the Paw Patrol after Everest...Tracker. Not that Rocky hated him as much as Marshall, but when he came over to the lookout during Christmas, Rocky was nothing less than an asshole to him, just because he was flirting with Everest.

Rocky wanted to do whatever it took to get to Everest...ANYTHING.

"I have it, this will work and Everest will love it. There's no way she'll say no to it."

It was just around noon time when he saw Everest with her best friend Skye. Rocky knew that maybe Zuma was going to try to ask Skye out for a date as well since he knew Chase would be all over her that day.

"Hey girls, I was just wondering if maybe I could talk to Everest here...alone," Rocky asked.

"Oh Sure Rocky, bye Everest I'll talk to you later," Skye said as she began to walk away from the other pups.

"Bye Skye, so Rocky what did you want to talk about," Everest said curiously.

"Look Everest I'm going to get straight to the point...Marshall was...talking bad about you."

"Wait what, Rocky that doesn't sound like him at all."

"Trust me I didn't want to believe it either but last night I heard some terrible things he said about you."

"Like what?"

"Well I don't know if you noticed but the reason he doesn't talk to you much is that he doesn't like to talk with you. He thinks you smell super gross all the time and said that he can't stand being close to you."

"Rocky it sounds like you're making this up"

"Everest you know me well, I'm one of your best friends and I would never ever think of lying to you. I overheard him while he was in his pup house, I'm so sorry Everest you don't deserve any of this and I wish Marshall didn't have to think this way of you."

"R-Really," Was all Everest could say as tears slowly began to roll down her cheeks.

Rocky quickly embraced her in his arms, rubbing her back in an effort to calm her down. His plan was working perfectly.
