*Third Person POV*
Chase and Marshall walked back to their pup houses with their heads low and walking like they had a fifty-pound weight attached to them. As they continued to walk to their pup house Chase looked to his left to see Zuma and Skye having a chat, immediately he thought he was asking her out.
In his mind there was no way Skye could say no to him, Zuma was her best friend and someone she could always trust. The same could be said for Marshall. He just sat right out from his pup house as the tears slowly ran down his cheek letting it eventually pour out.
When he closed the door that's when the sobbing began, he didn't even care anymore. The one thing that he feared that could happen eventually did, Everest would belong to someone else. While he continued to sob Marshall decided it was best to hang out at the beach.
The beach was one of the few places in the world where Marshall could just relax and clear his mind. However, he wouldn't be able to go without someone stopping him on the way. A bulldog slowly approached him with a very confused look on his face.
"Hey Marshall how's it going you don't look so good, "The bulldog said to him. Rubble was the youngest of the pups so ultimately he cared the most about everyone and had the biggest heart.
"I'm not doing so great Rubble, That's why I was just headed to the beach to clear my mind" The dally exclaimed not wanting the bulldog to know the specific reason.
"Oh okay well please tell me if someone is really bothering you, I know you probably hear this a lot but I really care about you, you're one of the few pups I could just sit down and talk to, so I want to return the favor and make sure everything is alright"
The dally thought for a second, looked at Rubble, and began to think a little whether or not he should go talk to Everest or not. Eventually, he came to a decision that shocked the bulldog.
"Look Rubble I can't tell you because I'm not sure you would understand it," The dally said, looked at the ground, and continued to walk away and head to the beach. To Marshall, he thought he was just telling Rubble his problem, but to Rubble he thought that was a jerk move and was so unlike the Dalmatian he knows.
As Marshall approached the beach and let the sand sink into his fur he never thought once in his life that love was something he would ever have to deal with. When he was born he never had the idea of having a mate and having a relationship with anyone.
Until one day, the pups were called for a mission in the South Pole. All the pups remember it mainly for their first-ever mission in the Paw-Patroller but not for Marshall. That same mission was the first and only time ever Marshall fell in love.
*Flashback Marshall POV*
I couldn't believe it. Her eyes, fur, ears, nose, she's.. she's perfect. I mean seriously I never thought I would ever see someone so beautiful in my entire life. Yet here she is the most beautiful pup I have ever seen. She was perfect, and I mean PERFECT!
We spent that night at Jake's Lodge while eating marshmallows and just relaxing. Everest was just recruited as a member and I heard her tummy growl indicating she was hungry, so I offered her more marshmallows. Let's just say my clumsiness struck at the wrong time.
She somehow didn't seem to mind but looked worried about me eventually she got more marshmallows and everyone headed to bed. Well, all except two people. You guessed it me and Everest were the only ones up.
"Psst, Everest"
"Hmm, oh hey uhh Marshall right?"
"yep that's me, I was just wondering why you couldn't sleep and wanted to know if you needed company"
