Chapter 8

The stranger started with a palm strike towards Vero's face. Vero quickly parried his attack and began to block all of the stranger's incoming attacks. As the battle began, the stranger used his martial arts ability, enhanced speed and enhanced strength to combat against Vero and force both of them to move backwards.

Vero continued to block all of the stranger’s punches and kicks during their fight. Vero, however, began to fight back by using punching and kicking maneuvers. The stranger was able to block all of Vero's attacks, with seemingly no effort at as if he's able to see how Vero is about to attack before he does, as well as counter back against Vero with Vero blocking his attacks as well.

During the battle by the Cliffside, Vero performed a jumping front snap kick and the stranger blocked the attacker. In return, the stranger performed the same technique only this time jumping towards Vero. This caused Vero and the stranger to jump at the same time. The stranger jumped towards Vero while performing the attack and Vero jumped backwards while using his left hand to block the attack. They both landed a short distance away from each other.

Vero stared at the stranger beckoned with his finger, confidently, for Vero to come at him in a taunting manner, which annoyed him. Vero took off his jacket then rolled it before tossing it away, then he smashed his fist into the ground shattering the earth. His eyes turned to their green catlike color, his fangs grew before he let out a beastly roar at the stranger who kept a calm expression while assuming fighting stance.

The two fighters instantly launched themselves at the other, bashing their forearms into the other releasing a strong gust of wind that blew a portion of the sand and cut small nearby rocks. “Good, you’re fighting me as a real demon rather than a human.” The stranger complimented.

Vero and the stranger performed martial arts kicking techniques to both block the other's kick and attack the opponent. During the fight, Vero attempted to punch the stranger but the stranger blocked his attack and grabbed his arm. He attempted to throw Vero, but he countered by performing a cartwheel to flip to the opposite side. It is at this time that after Vero regained his stand on the ground, he performed a front jab to the stranger's chest. The attack hit the stranger and caused him to backflip on his hands and feet. At the same time as the stranger was flipping back to create more ground, Vero performed a jumping front snap kick while leaping to the next table as well.

After the stranger regained his footing, he blocked Vero's kick and the fight continued once more. Both of the fighters then began to attack and defend themselves from each other's incoming attacks. The stranger landed a successful reverse sidekick to Vero's stomach, which sent him airborne.

Simultaneously, Vero recovered quickly then grabbed the stranger’s extended leg and used it as a momentum to vault over him, and kneed him in the back while airborne before landing another successful roundhouse kick to the side of his head, which made their bodies twist in opposite directions. Vero finished by landing a backflip kick to his chin sending them flying back from another.

Vero regained his balance, stood up, unfazed, and performed a martial arts fighting stance. He went in for a left haymaker, the stranger maneuvered around Vero's attack and countered with a elbow strike to the back of the neck which made Vero stumble a bit. He quickly regained his balance while simultaneously back flipping before delivering a swift kick to Varis, unawarely channeling his demonic energy into his foot. Varis blocked with his wrist but the force of the attack sent him sliding back a few yards.

However, instead of going back to Vero to resume the fight, the stranger lifted his right arm in a 90-degree angle. "Good, I'm satisfied enough. You passed."

"Excuse me? Hey, buddy, in case you don't notice, I haven't beaten you yet. The fight's still going and I’m close to beating the stuffing out of you." Vero pointed out.
