BI- That was sound of the alarm clock before Vero instantly got out from under the covers of his bed and threw it out through the window, which completely shattered. He was oblivious of the fact that he had thrown it across the street and through his neighbor’s window, almost as if body acted on its own free will.
Out of all the dreams he has ever had. Last night was probably the strangest one ever and maybe the most unexplainable one of all. All he could remember about the dream was that he was standing on a big tall pillar in a dark abyss with a single door in the middle. His curiosity got the better of him and he decided to walk through the door.
Walking through the door, he was met with a grassy field and a gigantic single tree. The atmosphere in that world was just perfect as if he could stay there forever and not leave. He did not know why but it felt like he missed something while he was exploring. However, he did not get the chance to find out because his alarm clock woke him up.
After waking up from his strange dream. Vero went to the bathroom and splashed cold water in his face. He could not explain it but something about him seemed somehow... Different.
He was now examining himself or to be more precise his arms. He was still lean but had developed some fair muscles, which was odd since he never works out. Well maybe because he was punkish rouge, as many people call him.
After his arms, he examined his chest and abs, just like his arms they were fairly developed too. His attention was then brought to his bruise, which was no more, as if it was never there in the first place.
His attention was brought to his left shoulder, a mark he has had since he was a boy and assumed it was a bizarre interlinking birth mark. It was a black tattoo-like marking. “It’s only a matter of time before someone will compare it to Jin Kazama’s tattoo or something dumb like that.” He muttered, sarcastically.
Then his attention was brought to his amulet as if it was responsible for this. “No way, is this me probably going through puberty or something?” He asked no one in particular, still not believing the amulet was responsible.
Taking the toothbrush and toothpaste in his hand, he squeezed the toothpaste lightly, which caused all of it to shoot out and cover the mirror the mirror.
“Oh, great...” He complained. "As if last night's experience wasn't enough ."
Vero placed his left hand on the basin and other on his hip and grumbled, thoroughly irritated. He decided to go downstairs to get another toothpaste, but when he tried to move, his hand didn't budge like it was stuck on glue. He pulling it away at least three times without breaking anything and on his fourth time, he managed to move it only the result ended with him removing the basin from the wall and him twirling with it before clumsily falling into he bathtub.
“Vero everything OK in there?” He heard his grandfather yelling outside in concern after hearing a disturbance in the bathroom.
Vero grumbled as he ran his free hand against his head. “Uh, yeah, everything is okay.” He replied before trying to get out of the bathroom only to break open the door and stare directly at his grandfather who was cool but shocked at the same time.
“I promise I’ll fix it after school.” Promised Vero, sheepishly. His hand finally unstuck itself as the basin fell on the floor.
“Things don’t seem to be ok, from where I’m standing.” His grandfather remarked. “Don’t worry about it. I’ll fix it after work. You should go and dress up for school.” He told Vero who nodded and ran to his room. Just then, Vero began sniffing because his nose had caught a scent of something. Something bad.
“Ugh, grandpa, you should really do something about that disgusting morning breath of yours.” The second those words left Vero’s mouth, he instantly covered his mouth.
