Chinatown, Yeager continuum...
At the moment we are in the bedroom of Vero, the young man was lying on his bed with his arms crossed behind his head while staring at the ceiling with nothing to do. Tomorrow was the day he would be going on a date with Sommer. To be honest, Vero wasn't sure what to think about it, he had never been on a date with anyone. When he told Kai about it, she explained it was like hanging with her and the others but they would be spending the time together alone so it really wasn't that different from a normal hangout.
Sommer's room
At the same time that Vero was lying in his room we can see a certain dirty blonde young woman in her room. As the season was warm she had decided to keep her window open throughout the night. She was sitting on her bed looking thoughtful about something.
Her thoughts were focused on a certain white-haired boy. "Vero..." She muttered to herself as she remembered the first time she first met him
At eleven years of age, Sommer was a smart girl, though being born into a wealthy family and being beautiful at the same time, the way other children behaved around her, from treating her with nothing but respect and never looking her in the eyes infuriated her.
Ken was the only person she would call a friend, having known him since their first days of kindergarten. Today he was missing class from the flu which had been going around the school lately and this left the little girl bored on her lunch break.
Her gaze caught the sight of a kid who would always be ridiculed for having unusual white hair and was known to be a trouble maker himself. Vero D. Yeager was his name if she remembered correctly, his eyes glued to the stack of cards he was holding, sitting in the freshly cut grass. From what she'd seen, he was either alone or together with that boy Aaron but today like her he was all alone, he was never afraid to interact with others or speak what was on his mind.
She began making her way through the elementary school's playground, striding her way over to where the boy sat, her shadow loomed over him. "Don't you think a little you're a little old for those types of games?" Her tone left a feel of superiority and now that she was close she could see he was holding Yu-Gi-Oh cards with more cards neatly stacked on the floor.
The young boy looked up at her, looking shocked and surprised, like a deer caught in headlights. He looked back at the cards he was holding, trying to figure out which to take out, smiling, he picked one and raised it at the girl who eyed it suspiciously.
Sommer stared into his grey orbs, and unlike most people he stared back, a happy smile braced his lips. "Hey, its Sommer right?" To say she was surprised was an understatement, everyone always called her by her family's name as a show of respect, which often annoyed her. People never saw her as her own person, but this boy simply calling her by her name rather than her family's name, put at ease and her hope of making a true friend. She couldn't help the giant smile that plastered itself onto her face as she sat down beside the boy after taking the card.
The two sat beside each other, chatting about the Yu-Gi-Oh card games while learning about each other in between the conversation, spending the time happily with each other, but like all good things it came to an end with the bell ringing out, signifying the end of break. The two got up from their sitting position and started making their way to class. "That was fun Vero, we should hang out again!" The white haired boy nodded, agreeing with her statement.
Present day...
Sommer was standing in front of her drawer holding the card that Vero gave her all those years ago, a soft smile on her face. The card was a Dark Magician girl card. To her it was something she had grown to cherish because it was a symbol of her friendship with Vero, despite wanting to keep it a secret from everyone else.
