You made me feel like I was in a love song,
Only for me to realise I had the words wrong,
The way my heart squeezes out of my soul,
Feels like I was left naked at the North Pole,
Your words felt like stabbing spikes all over my body,
The way I constantly play it out from my memory,
You brought us into utter demise,
Yet I was the only one that paid the price,
Enjoyed the moments I kissed you,
But now you have commitment issues?

A/N: Heartbreak comes at the most unexpected moments. And because it's unexpected, that's what makes it extremely unbearable. When I wrote this poem, it came straight out of my heart. This very recent event still haunts me from inside out. As I fight through this, my darling readers, I want you to stay strong too. It doesn't matter how long you were with them. It's about how much the moments meant to you. No breakup is a small break up. If it takes you days, weeks, months, or even years, fight through it, my loves. Because by doing that, it doesn't mean you're giving them power over you. It simply means you're doing right by you, by your feelings, and by your heart. Put yourself first, because at the end of the day, no matter how much you hate the person in the mirror, they are the only ones that will stay.
