They see the sparkling stars in your eyes,
but I look deep inside and realise it is just a dull rock,
They see the curve of your body,
I see the hunger behind it, the tense that surrounds you when a layer of fat is added,
They say that you are only seeking attention,
I say you hide your feelings inside you and attempting to seem joyful,
They see the smile on your beautiful cherry lips,
I see the way your lips tremble behind your smile, the painful emotions threatening to escape those lips when you curve them up,
They admire your clear skin, glowing and shimmering like crystals,
While I recognize the hidden scars and cuts in your skin and when I look a little bit deeper, I see no perfectly beating heart but a burned, stabbed and crushed one.
