Chapter 34

The next day me and Dally went to the Curtis house and saw everyone there but Ponyboy. I asked Soda "where is Pony" and he said "I think he is in the lot." So I said to everyone "I'm going to talk to Ponyboy" and they all shouted "be careful" and I just rolled my eyes and walked out to the lot. I saw Pony in the lot talking to Cherry and she was flirting with him. I walked over to her and said "you better stop flirting with him or else you'll get hurt" and she said "why do you care your not his girlfriend" and I said "no I'm not but my best friend is so you better back off." She just glared at me and said "make me" so I pushed her down and she fell to the ground and I put my switchblade against her throat and cut it a little. She started crying and then ran away and I smiled and said"thats right you better run." Then I heard the cops coming and I tried to run but they caught me and took me to jail for cutting Cherry which I thought was stupid but I didn't care.
Ponyboy's P.O.V
When the cops took Kaley to jail I ran back home. I ran inside and yelled to the gang "Kaley just got taken to jail" and they all stopped what they were doing and said "what did she do" and I said "she cut Cherry in the neck with her switchblade cause she was flirting with me." Dally ran out the door towards the police station and the rest of the gang followed him and so did I.
