Okay, London was definitely not being good to me. I was convinced that I needed to get myself checked by a doctor. It had been three days since I'd arrived in London and I was already hallucinating? It was crazy!

I stood there like a stone, in the corner of a dark cell in a police station. I looked at the man who tried to force himself on me who was still lying on the floor, and then turned to look at the man who had just called me his future wife.

It couldn't possibly be right, could it?

Before I could start an internal debate with myself on the kind of disease I had suddenly contracted, I felt a strong hand latch onto my wrist and pull me out of the cell. I looked up to find the stranger with steely determination in his eyes leading me all the way out of the police station. Looking around I tried desperately to find some police officer to stop this lout. But there was no one around.

Where the hell was everyone!

His broad shoulder, emotionless eyes and huge body scared the day light out of me. He looked like someone who could physically harm me if he wanted to just by lifting a finger.

All of a sudden, I wanted to run back into the police station and back into the dingy cell which was now looking very appealing. I wanted to be locked up, so that this man who had, for some reason, saved me -and unfortunately scared me- could not get me.

We had just emerged out of the building with him still gripping my wrist and pulling me along. I tried to stop him by digging my heels into the ground and yanking my arm but it didn't seem to be working. I grabbed at his strong hand, trying to pry it off of me but it was no use either. It was almost like he didn't even notice that I was trying to escape him.

"I need you to get into the car and sit without doing anything stupid. I'm warning you, don't be a nuisance. "

He leaned towards me and looked right into my eyes, telling me how serious he was being. I avoided his gaze and shut my eyes, trying rather unsuccessfully to block his penetrating gaze and rid him from my mind.

Feebly, i nodded in agreement.

Moments later, a black limousine rounded the corner and stopped right in front of us. I had to admit that right then, I was a little impressed by his ride but i quickly shook the thought out of my head. I reminded myself that I absolutely did not want to sit in that car with him.

I didn't have a choice however when he pulled open the door and motioned for me to get in.

There was nothing polite about it though, he looked like he would bite me if I didn't. So with as much dignity as I could muster, I stepped into the car and slid to the extreme corner of the seat, the furthest away from him, and  held on the the door handle hoping and praying for my dear life.
