Chapter 18 – Interrogator and Interrogatee

A six foot five inches of gorgeous billionaire cladded in the Armani covering in straws and pig dung, holding a pack of ice against his angry growing bruise on the jaw…

Yeah, you get the picture.

The little devil inside me began doing summersaults. But only few moments ago, I screamed in fear when my father’s fist landed on Hamilton’s jaw. I was trying so hard to stop my laughter now. The stupidest mantra went through my head, My daddy strongest! Even though I knew, in this case that was not true, but at least it had affected Hamilton!

I had never expected my father to be ok with him, or like him, but I had not expected him to welcome Hamilton with his fist. Then again, he was my father, always the over protective one.

His signature curly black hair now had some white in them. His huge build had always been the one to intimidate. Whenever he saw any guy even remotely close to his wife, his classic stance was crossing his big arms, placing some gape between his legs, and that’s all he needed to scare the day lights out of any man.

Sitting on our black couch, Hamilton definitely looked completely out of place, and for the first time a little lost. Between the old television, and the magazines and books around, and pizza boxes, this was definably a contrast to the Hamilton way of life.

“Dear would you like some coffee?” my mother who had been desperately trying to lighten up the situation asked Hamilton. My mother was always like that, the peace making. But what many people did not know about her was that she didn’t always use peaceful methods to achieve peace.

“No, No Mom there is no need for that, he is fine” I came interrupting.

My mother was might have been a tiny creature physically, with those doe eyes, beautiful blonde hair, she looked like a women with eternal innocence, but when she put her foot down to something there was nothing scarier than mom. Even papa put his hands up. And right now seemed like the moment when my mother was done with asking us all nicely. This was the exact moment we should back off, and do exactly what mom says.

But even after 23 years of marriage, my father could be so stupid sometimes. He wasn’t done shedding his anger on Hamitlon, but he wasn’t aware of a tsunami named Mom heading his way.

“What did you do with my daughter?” my father literally bit out those words.

“Nothing Sir” Hamilton calling someone sir?

My father’s face red with all the huffing and puffing, “did you touch her…”

Enough!” And that is when ladies and gentlemen the mom tsunami finally hit the James residence.

“I had enough of you both treating guests this way. James! How dare you punch someone at our doorsteps? Where are your manners, and now you are interrogating him? We are civil people here and we will act like that. All your questions James can wait. And Rose, don’t interrupt when two people are talking, I asked him if he wanted coffee, not you”
