Chapter 22- Heart and Soul

There was something I wanted, something I need, I knew it was something forbidden, something disastrous for my emotional health, but standing there, walled by Hamilton, the forbidden fruit sounded so much more tempting. I couldn’t think, I couldn’t breath; I just needed him. I just needed to touch me, to kiss me, to take me.

Sitting on that bed few minutes ago, I was shocked at my actions last night, drunk and all over Hamilton, but standing here now, I knew that my actions last night had nothing to do with the fact that I was drunk on alcohol. It had everything to do with me being drunk on Hamilton.

We stood there breathing each other, or rather me breathing his scent. I waited for him to do something, anything, just sooth the ache he created within me. With every growing moment I was getting hotter, I was growing more uncaring about what the consequences might be.

“Woho! Someone did drunk dirty dance last night” a voice came crashing into the room with the door banging open. Shocked both of us sprang apart. It was as though we both knew we what we were doing was wrong. My body carped in frustration for being interrupted again, but my inner voice which had been lost a few moments ago, came back alive louder and stronger than ever.

Brittany who had been standing open jawed at the doorstep, looked back and forth between Hamilton and me. Seemed like she had gotten a glimpse what had passed between us.

“Oh…urm” she stammered at her well timed entrance, “I can come…come back later?” she asked almost questioningly. Had I been in her place, I would have retraced back my stepped faster than I came in. But then again I was not as composed as Brit.

What happened moments ago, rather what happened over the last few days physically between Hamilton and me had really messed up my carefully knit plan. I knew if I let this go on, I would be the one let battered and tattered. I knew I would be the one getting hurt. I needed time, time away from Hamilton and his distractions.

Both me and Hamilton answered Brittany in perfect distorted synchrony.

“No!” I screamed in a voice unlike my own.

“Yes” Hamilton said in his own rather husky voice.

Yes? He wanted Brittany to go? Why does he want that? I asked myself. But I knew it didn’t matter, if he made Brittany leave I would simply follow her out. There was no way I was trusting myself with him again.

And as expected, he asked sarcastically, “Do you know how to knock?” Hello? Rude much?

“Urm, yeah… I see you kinda had your hands full I am sorry…”

“There is no need to apologize Brit, Hamilton here was just kidding, come let me show you the cake I baked for you” saying so I excused myself out of the room. Brittany who was rather red faced, reluctantly followed me when I gripped her hand and dragged her.
