chapter 10

After the BBQ~ Paisleys POV
"Aaliyah you did great today! You should think about joining a dance class."
"Thanks Paisley, but you really did most of the work. Has it uploaded yet?" Aaliyah asked
"Let's go ask Shawn."

Shawn's POV
I still don't believe Paisley is really here, its all a bit surreal. A month ago I was just admiring her talents through a screen. I messed up today, big time. Its all because of my bestfriend, well, ex-bestfriend, Lauren. She knocked on my front door while I was rehearsing to sing and started talking crap about Paisley, calling her pathetic and a bad dancer. So I just turned around and ran to my bedroom, I couldn't stand the sight of her, but she managed to get through my door and sat down on my bed. (Replaying argument in head)
"Get out!" I yelled, she looked shocked but didn't move a muscle. Then I realized my window was open and everyone outside next door probably heard.
"Look, Lauren, you can't just come rushing in here talking crap about someone you don't even know, its not fair." I tried my best to regain my composure, so my voice was barely a whisper.
"Come on Shawn, I saw how much of a suck up you are to her, and so have 20,000 other people on vine. She is going to use you!" Lauren had obviously not caught on to the fact that the window was open and how everyone could hear how crazy she was.
"Honestly lauren, keep it coming, I think you might have done me a favour. At least now I'm not the one that has to tell everyone you're crazy. You've done it yourself" The look on her face was priceless, she only just noticed that everyone outside could probably hear her.
"Well your a crap singer and I wish you never get anywhere in your life, apart from the streets." I wonder if her ass gets jealous of all the bs that come out of her mouth? I could help but laugh at her comment, seeing as I've already made it somewhere, with the help of Paisley, we have 30,000 followers combined on vine, and counting.
"Is anyone here?" I heard something coming from outside my bedroom door. I shot Lauren a look of disgust and open my door just enough so I could see what was going on.
"Shawn! Look at what I just made!" I saw Aaliyah and her enthusiastic smile beaming up at me, but I couldn't let Lauren go without breaking our so called "friendship" off.
"Not right now ally, Lauren's here. But I'll look after okay." I really hate turning my sister down, so I give her a reassuring look.
Cough!
I looked up and saw Paisley looking very confused, but that didn't last long.
"You should be next door right now performing to all those people that came to see you. At least have the decency to tell someone you don't want to sing because your busy." She huffed and ran down the stairs with Aaliyah by her side. For god sake! If it wasn't for Lauren and her stupid games I would be performing right now and Paisley wouldn't be mad. I turn around and face Lauren and whisper sternly "I want you out of here by the time I get my guitar from down the stairs."
(Skipping to performance)
I sat down on the stool that had been set up for me and suddenly grew more nervous by the second as all eyes were on me, ready to watch.
"H-hey everyone, thank you so much for being here this evening, it means alot, even though you are just family and friends" That comment earned a couple of laughs and my nerves disappeared in the blink of an eye. "There is someone very special to me here, and I need to owe them an apology. So I'm gonna do that the only way I know how, by singing their favorite song." I now had everyone's complete attention and started to sing a layed back version of "Firework" by Katy Perry, while scanning over the little crowd of people gathered around me searching for Paisley.
