My POV
I stepped out of the house, carrying a backpack. Mostly filled with clothes and bathroom items, and a couple small things of importance to me, like a picture of my mother.
Alastor, still smiling at me, was waiting in the backyard for me. Is this really happening?
I took a deep breath, "Okay, let's go." I said as I walked towards the woods. You know that saying 'never look back?' Well, I did okay. I looked back. How could I not? I had grown up here my whole life, even during the bad nights I still loved this house. My home, but now I have to leave, because I made a deal and I was going to uphold it. Let's just hope it goes well.
I turned back around and followed Alastor through the woods.
"So where are we going?" I asked.
"My home of course." He said, continuing to walk.
"Right but like where is that? You don't live in a cave do you?" I asked, I giggled at my silly question.
"Heavens no. What do you think I am? A barbarian? No no no." He said, amused.
"Well okay." I said, pausing my words.
"Alastor, can I ask you something?" I asked.
"Hm?" He said, while holding a tree branch out of the way.
"What..are you? I was too caught up in everything in the house to ask, but I need to know." I said to him,
"Are you sure you want to know the answer to that?" He asked me.
"Yes Alastor, I'm going to be living with you for 5 years, I'm gonna need some answers to my questions if you want me to trust you." I said in a jarring tone.
"Hm, good point. Very well, I am a demon." He said calmly.
I blinked my eyes at him as I tried to wrap my mind around what he said.
"A demon." I said blankly. I must have zoned out because Alastor waved his hand in front of my face. I snapped back to reality.
"Sorry, I do that sometimes." I said calmly. Alastor then looked at me strangely.
"Why are you not cowering in fear?" He asked me.
"Uhm.. I don't know? I mean, we made a deal.. I kinda have to get used to it." I said bluntly. Alastor just stood there and looked at me for a moment.

Alastor's POV
'She's not running away in fear. She's not hiding away from me. She's not scared of me.' I was moved away from my thoughts when I heard my name being called.
"Alastor?" She asked me.
"Hm? Oh. Well, that's good. Let's carry on, shall we?" I said as I continued to walk. We continued to walk through the woods, we were almost there now, which is good because if her stomach growls one more time I might just rip it out of her.
"I never got your name dear." I said to her,
"Oh! That's true! It's (Y/N)! Sorry, I should've said it sooner!" She said, apologizing profusely.
"It's alright." I said, stopping.
"We're here." I said looking down at her.
"Uhm where? There's nothing out here, for like miles." She asked.
I snapped my fingers and a house appeared behind me.

I watched as her eyes widened with excitement.
"Woah! How did you do that?" She asked.
"Dear, I'm a demon. I can do more than your little mind can comprehend." I said, simply.
"Come." I said, motioning to the house. I walked to the front door and opened it, revealing the gorgeous inside.

(Pretty, yeah?)

She walked inside, amusement written all over her face.
"It's beautiful." She said breathlessly.
"Like I said, I am not a barbarian. Plus, you have to live here too." I said.
'Why did I say that? It's not something I would normally say, and this isn't something I would normally do.' I thought to myself.
She continued to view the house she would now call home.
"Hey Alastor?" She said from upstairs.
"Yes dear?" I returned.
"There's only one bed up here." She said and I laughed, amused.
"That's correct." I said, walking to the bottom of the stairs.
"Why? We're not sharing a bed are we?" She asked, which almost made me laugh.
"Oh heavens no dear! I don't sleep." I said to her,
"What? You don't?" She asked curiously.
I simply shake my head, "Don't need sleep when you're not alive." I said, causing her to stare at me. She walked down the stairs, "So you're a demon, you don't sleep, and you can do magic?" She asked, summing up all of her questions.
"I wouldn't call it magic," I said with a twinkle of anger in my answer, "but yes." I said
She nodded in response and looked down at her stomach as it growled.
I sighed, "I will start dinner." I said, while walking to the kitchen.
"You're going to make me food?" She asked, while I got ingredients from the pantry.
"Yes, who else is going to feed you." I simply said.
"Well, I can do it.." she said quietly.
I looked her up and down.
"Yes well..." I said pausing.
'She has a point, why am I making her dinner? Why should I care about her? Why do I care about her?' I thought to myself.
"You've had a long day, I'm just going to handle it tonight. If you wish to make dinner tomorrow you may." I said to her calmly, and she returned with a nod and sat on a stool in the kitchen and watched me make dinner.
'What a strange girl.' I thought to myself.
