Hate To Be Lame: Lizzy McAlpine, FINNEAS

"Good morning, Amanda." Murdoc smiles as I enter and the door closes. "You're looking well. More radiant. And I think know why. You finally took down Hoffman and Mathis. I knew you could it. So Americon Initiative is finally bye-bye." He leads forward and folds his hands.

"Just tell me what you want. I have somewhere to be." I lean my hands on the table.

"You've been keeping contact with my son at the foster home, yes?"

"Cannot confirm or deny. But he's fine. I visit him when I can, and we call every morning when he wakes up, and every night before he goes to bed. He asks about you, I tell him you're on constant business trips, you're saving up more for the future. He asks about my sister, and my brother, and my friends. He's a polite, well mannered and a very kind boy. And I think you can agree that you want him to stay that way." I nod.

"Perhaps." Murdoc shrugs. "Is it over?"

"Is what over?"

"The Initiative? Hoffman and Mathis really are the last ones?"

"Yes. Why do you ask? Jealous you never got the chance to become one of them to complete your quest?"

"No. I just need to know if they're in here. And what cell they're in."

"Even if they were here, I'll pass."

"Okay, it was worth a shot."

"I'm not doing this for you. Your son is a good kid. There's hope for him, and a future. At least Amber knew she wasn't fit for it, but you—all you're gonna do is a dig a grave for him if you keep him around you. And I won't let that happen."

"Yeah, I know, our little deal. I haven't forgotten, Amanda. Trust me." He grins.

"Good. Let's not do this again sometime." I nod before leaving, making the buzzer go off.

"I knew it!" Bozer claps his hands as I enter.

"What?" I immediately stop in my tracks.

"I knew it. I knew she wouldn't get one. What did I tell you guys?"

"What are you talking about?" I close the door.

"This." Riley holds up a sticker that says BANG! on it.

"Congratulations, you've won my little game. Which isn't surprising. Jack said you're hell of a fighter. One of the best he'd ever seen." Desi looks at me. "I looked through every nook and cranny for you."
