WHAT THE HELL ARE WE DYING FOR?:   Shawn Mendes

I finally reach my house as the wind blows harshly against my face, making my hood fall over my head. I look up at the moon and I bite the inside of my cheek. I now turn and walk up the stairs. I open the door and head inside, now closing the door. I pull my hood off my head and I turn to see everyone sitting in the living room.

"I invited some random people over. Hope you don't mind." Russ stands up with the others.

"Everything you do I mind. Even your breathing." I shove my hands in my jean pockets.

"Thank you." He nods with a grin.

"Hey." Charlotte walks over and hugs me, then places her hand on the back of my head, but I keep my hands in my pockets.

"What are you doing here, Dec?" I pull away from her.

"What do you mean what am I doing here?" Declan chuckles and hugs me. "All the kids are with Zion." He pulls away.

"Thanks." I nod and walk past him.

"Nolan and I are doing some digging on who may have taken you hostage." Bozer follows me.

"Don't."

"But we know it wasn't Mason, we know it wasn't Codex, we know it wasn't the Initiative, so-"

"Exactly." I stop and turn to him. "Who cares who it was?"

"I do." Charlotte walks over. "We all do. They held you for two weeks."

"It's not like they didn't feed me, Charlotte. Whoever it was, they're long gone by now. And I'm okay."

"Lina-"

"Leave it be." I cut Russ off. "And don't call me that." I see someone knock on the door. I make my way towards the door and I open it.

"Amanda Clarke?" A dark skinned guy says.

"Yes."

"From Fitz." He hands me an envelope. "Have a good night, Miss Clarke." He walks back down the steps and I close for door. I look at the envelope as I head to the kitchen. I tear it in half and place it into the garbage pail.

"You guys don't have to stay here. I'm fine." I nod.

"I called Fitz earlier, invited him down here. But he said it was best that he didn't." Matty walks over to me.

"He always was a smart man."

"What happened when you went to DC last week?"

"Nothing." I shake my head. "Nothing happened, Matty. I promise." I nod.
