     Take Me Home: Phil Collins

"The initial surge failed because of poor military strategy." McKenna says as we sit on the plane.

"What? No. The strategy was sound. The intel was faulty." Mac tells her.

"Yet, they eventually triumphed despite inferior technology. Right?" Riley leans back.

"Ah! Military history buffs, eh?" Russ heads over and sits on the arm of McKenna's chair. "Well, me, too. So, what are we talking about, huh? Battle of the Bulge?
Battle of Midway? Battle of-"

"Endor." I nod. "Star Wars? Episode VI?" I lean my fist against my cheek.

"The Rebels' problem was that Palpatine leaked intel to the Bothan spies, and everybody knows that." Mac looks at me.

"That's true, but if the Rebels had a different attack formation-"

"Hang on a second." Russ cuts McKenna off. "Are we seriously debating this? The Alliance should've bribed the Hutt syndicate to-"

"Start a rebellion, thus distracting the Imperial armada." I nod again.

"Are you a Jedi?" He blinks in disbelief.

"I think we all are, personally."

"No, you're just a bloody nerd. You and Evan can quote every movie by memory." McKenna stands up. "I can't reason with you people. I'm out."

"Well, h-hang on a second. We haven't discussed the reactor core yet." Riley follows her and I shake my head with a grin.

"Uh, speaking of spies, I spoke to your father recently." Russ sits down. "He's still pursuing Mason for burning down the Phoenix."

"Uh, why are you talking to my dad?" Mac asks.

"Just getting intel on Bishop. They worked together at DXS."

"Right. He tell you anything interesting"

"Hmm, either of you won't return his calls." He looks at me. "That was interesting."

"There's nothing to say. I have other things to worry about, Russell." I get up. "You know, like, trying to live a stable life now. Continue to help the world, continue to raise my kid." I walk past him.

"What about that deal you made?" He follows me to the back.

"What?" I turn back.

"James told me you made a deal with Murdoc a year and a half ago. You didn't tell the others, not even Matty. That you-"

"And he broke it. So what's your point in bringing it up?"

"James told me all that he did. To the others, to you. I just don't want you to go after him again."
