You were only twelve
When the world turned cold
Your early teen hood was stripped away
Cuz you were locked behind the Covid mold

Global warming came and temperatures rose
You probably have a job now
You were just in middle school
Yet you're almost an adult somehow

You may be depressed
Thinking where you went wrong
But I know you can do it
You may be overwhelmed
You may not know it yet
But something in you shines
Make the most of it

You are juniors
Next year above the others
Yet cherish what you have
With your school sisters and brothers

Nothing lasts forever
Which may seem hopeless
But the good and bad both follow
This rule nonetheless
The bad won't last forever
The ugly will soon die
So will all the evil
That happened in your life

To the class of 2025
I know that you can thrive
You may not be confident
But I know you'll make it out alive
