Gemma opened her eyes, completely overwhelmed by how light headed she felt. It was difficult to keep her eyes open or even attempt to keep her head up. Forcing herself to keep her eyes open long enough to take in her surrounding she realized that she was in an old warehouse. There were boxes everywhere, and most of the furniture looked new. Like someone had recently made the place their home.

The sound of an electric drill had her turning her head to her side where in the other side of the room Thomas was seated on a stool working on a familiar red android. Slowly her memories were coming back to her, but it was difficult to make sense of them or place them together in anyway that made sense because of the throbbing in her head. There was something wrong with her she just didn't know what it was. Something didn't feel right.

"Tom?" Gemma said momentarily surprised by how dry her throat was. There was even a moment where she almost felt relief at seeing Tom before remembering who he really was.

Tom gave her a smile that could only be described as one of pity. He stood up and walked across the room to her casually as if she wasn't tied to a chair and what he was doing wasn't completely insane. "Gemma. You're awake good."

Instinctively Gemma attempted to move or stand, but she immediately realized that she was tied to a plastic chair with her hand behind her back. She was surprised that she hadn't noticed it before, but she really did feel lightheaded and her vision was starting to become blurry. The second thing that she noticed as she attempted to move was the way that her shirt seemed to stick to her stomach.

Looking down she quickly realized why, and everything that she had been feeling since she opened her eyes suddenly made sense. There was a large piece of glass imbedded in her side. It must have happened when the android came through the window earlier, it had to have happened a long time ago now considering that her shirt was soaked in blood. There was also a

"That must be uncomfortable." Thomas said as he reached forward.

Gemma shook her head, knowing what would happen if he actually pulled it out. She had already lost so much blood and if he removed the glass she had no doubt that she would bleed out in a matter of minutes. He knew this too from the way he smiled as his hand wrapped around the price of place.  "Don't."
