Changbin’s POV:
“Matthew?!” I gasped. What is he doing here? He’s supposed to be in prison!
“Get your dirty hands off my son in law and his friends!” he yelled.
“Felix’s dad?!” Chan shouted, for some reason sounding angry. “How DARE you show up now after everything you did!”
“Chan, no! Him and Felix have sorted everything!” I explained.
“Sorted everything? He nearly killed him! What do you mean sorted everything!”
“So did you!” Minho joined in, “You 2 are fine now though, aren’t you?”
The man had a point. I looked up at Matthew and gave him a slight smile to apologise for what Chan was saying, and he just shook his head.
“Is that really what you think of me?” Chan asked sounding hurt.
Minho just looked at him and shook his head before looking down.
“He’s not wrong though...” Hyunjin added, barely being audible.
Chan sighed as he also put his head down in shame. I looked at my friends and felt as though I was going to start crying, until I realised what situation I was in right now.
“Guys, settle this afterwards,” I told them “We’re in a bigger situation right now if you haven’t noticed already.”
After I said that, there was a slight chuckle.
“You’re damn right about that.” Jennie said as she slowly started walking towards Matthew. “And if you wouldn’t mind... old man... leave right now before you get yourself hurt. I can’t guarantee the safety of anyone in this room right now, including you, and I really REALLY don’t want to be responsible for the death of an old man too.”
Matthew didn’t even bat an eyelid at that, and just fake yawned, followed by a low chuckle.
“Please darlin’, I ain’t scared of you. You don’t scare me at all, in fact, I find this kind of funny. You kidnap my son in law and his friends, beat them, and then threaten an ex-con. Seems like I shouldn’t be the one who should be scared,” he then poked Jennie’s shoulder quite hard, causing her to tumble back a few steps, “you have no idea what I’m capable of, and when someone hurts my boys, I can’t guarantee YOUR safety. So, stand back and we’ll be on our ways thank you.”
Matthew pushed back Jennie and began walking towards me, Lisa and BM watching his every move. He then walked behind me and untied my hands, then Chan’s, Hyunjin’s, and Minho’s. We all started to untie our ankles when Jennie started to speak again.
“I don’t know who the fuck you think you are old man, but that’s not how things work for me. I suggest you leave right now before we have an even bigger issue.” she said, trying to sound as threatening as she possibly could, which caused Matthew to laugh.
“Oh god, you really think that I would be scared of you? That’s cute honey.” He said, staring into her soul.
By now, we had all untied ourselves and we all stood in a line next to Matthew.
