It was a normal night in the phantom dimension or at least as normal as it can get traveling dimensions every night at 12

I was trying to sleep, Tyler was knocked out cold, Ben was drawing, Logan was reading

Taylor was making a crochet hat for Lily and Aiden was doing well who knows

when I was already having the worst luck ever a phantom got in and lunged at me I was frozen

When I finally processed what happened because of Aiden and Logan screaming while trying to help me

There was already a huge scratch down my calf that hurt like hell Ben bandaged me up while Taylor fanned my leg for as she would say "emotional support"

Afterwards, Aiden sat down next to me "I'm sorry I was supposed to be on watch of the door" He was staring directly into my eyes which, to tell the truth, got me a little flustered at that moment

"I- it's uhm I'll- I'll be fine thanks Aiden" he laughed at my stuttering and my trying as much as humanly possible not to make eye contact

He started gently rubbing where the cut was

"Can you walk ash?" "Nah I think you'll need to carry me" I replied jokingly but at that, he actually picked me up and moved me closer to him

"Your pretty heavy for skin n' bones" he smiled "Maybe it's cuz you're basically the same height as me"

"Hey, I'm 2-3 inches taller plus same-height couples are cute" "Couples?"

"Oh sorry you're right I'm wayyy too good for you" Aiden smirked leaning in closer to me but that just made me notice the scratch on his chin

I stared at the cut for a little then moved his face closer to mine to better examine it "What's this cut from Aiden?"

"Oh the phantom scratched me a little when we were dealing with it" he chuckled "but I'm good"

"Hey Logan can you pass me the first aid kit" I asked holding out my hand to him he handed it to me and I began disinfecting the cut

Then I bandaged it up "Thanks Ash but seriously it was no big deal lol"

"It could've gotten worse" I held his chin and moved his head around making sure everything was fine

"ugh you guys argue like a married couple please stop you're making the rest of us look single" Taylor groaned

"I- we— it's not like that " I was fumbling with my words which made it painfully obvious

Luckily they all went back to what they were doing and stopped paying me any attempt

"You know it could be" Aiden did his psycho smile at me "Ya ya whatever" I gave him a small kiss on the cheek
