"A 42-year old man has been arrested for a suspicion of a hit-and-run murder case this morning at 8:30am near Hangang Bridge. It is alleged that he is innocent and is currently being taken into custody and interrogation by the Korean National Police. All other details will be disclosed but we urge anyone who think they might have witnessed, or have any suspicious details linked to the crime to urgently contact 119-"
Y/N sighs after turning off the tv, throwing the remote back onto the table and frustratingly running her fingers through her hair before hearing the door open and sees her colleague, Jake, enter the room.
"Hey Y/N, did you see the news on the hit-and-run case?" he asks, walking over to her table and places a bottled coffee down followed by a stack of documents before getting a nod from her. "The interrogation is starting in 15 minutes; you need to read these documents and question the suspect..." Jake replies while going over to his desk before hearing her sigh.
"Do I have to do it? I have so many cases..." she mumbles before sitting up and starts to read while sipping on the coffee. "And what do you have to do?"
"Yes you have to, Jay's order. And I have to register all the evidence we have gathered based on what we have at the moment. I'll be watching you from the recording room." he says before opening his documents and starts typing on his computer.

"Mr Kim, could you explain to me what happened during the hit-and-run between the hours of 8:10am and 8:30am?" Y/N asked the man, while turning the laptop to watch the CCTV footage.
He watches silently while cowering in his seat anxiously.
"I-it wasn't me...I was dropping my son off at college before going to w-work and-"
"Really? But the car registration number clearly matches with your name on the system." she replied with a suspicious look. "Also, medical records have shown that you have once been convicted for drunk driving two years ago?"
"That was unintentional! I didn't know I was drunk driving!" he shouts in frustration while slamming his fists on the table.
Y/N just stares at him expressionless before passing him some pictures of him grabbing a stack of money from someone that looked of high status.
"Then...could you explain this?"
Mr Kim stared at the picture before slumping down on his seat and groans in annoyance.
"What's that to do with the hit-and-run? It's not my fault I needed money! He said that he would help me with the money if I did it!" he yelled again, not realising what he said.
"He? Who is this 'he' you're talking about Mr. Kim? Is he one of your acquaintances?"
Mr. Kim just stayed silent and stares at the ground.
Y/N started gathering all the documents before standing up with a sigh.
"End of questioning. I'll see you at court for your first trial Mr. Kim..." she says before walking out of the room.

Jake sighs heavily while running his fingers through his hair before saving the recording of the interrogation onto the USB and quickly rushes out of the room.
"Hey, Y/N! That was intense...wanna grab some dinner after work? It will be on me for how hard you did from that interrogation." he says while walking beside her back to the shared office.
"That's really kind of you Jake, but I'm really busy and-" she replies before getting interrupted.
"Come on~ you're always busy and never hang out with me even during lunch. Please~" he said while playfully nudging her with that attractive smile of his.
"Give me one good reason why I should." she says with a playful grin.
"Hm...it's your birthday in a few hours. So why not go out for an early birthday treat?" he says back before entering the room and slouches on the sofa.
"Fine...that would be nice." Y/N says while putting the files into a folder and sighs.
"I hope there won't be another murder case or any other case for the next few days." Jake says before turning on his phone and starts to answer messages and calls.
"I hope so too..."
