One Year Later

It's been a year since the incident with Kang-In

A year since he helped Johnny out of prison

A year since Y/N and Jake started to track him down

But there was still no sign of Johnny's whereabouts

Until today.

Scrambling through the documents for the billionth time, Y/N sighed before slouching in her seat while picking up her phone to check for any messages.

"I'm giving up... I still can't find anything." she mumbles, checking her message with Gyuvin and just stared at the screen.

"No, we're not giving up hun, even if it does take forever, there should be something." Jake said, trying to reassure her while typing up a document about the current situation for evidence.

"Yeah we still won't find anything, it's been a whole year Jake." Y/N replied back before typing to Gyuvin.

'Bffr, how could you leave your sister on read for a whole year? A WHOLE YEAR GYUVIN... that's so immature of you.'

A few minutes later, a notification dinged, breaking Y/N from her trance before reading it.

'So? Why should I care? Why should I talk to someone who killed her own mother?'

'Because you're my brother? Plus I'm just stressed, I miss talking to you.'

'Shut up Y/N... don't call me your brother anymore. What the fuck do you want?'

'Remember Johnny... the one  I told you about last year?'  Y/N sent the message and sighed, running her hand through her hair out of frustration.

"Who are you talking to?" Jake asked curiously while standing up to put some books on the shelves.

"Gyuvin... he finally replied. After a year." she said bluntly before checking the message again.

'Yeah what about him?'

'You know his address right? I know you were his psychologist when he was in prison. Can you give it to me? Jake and I have been tracking him for a year...'

'Meet me near that amusement park we used to go to when we were younger after work. Come alone. I'll give it to you then.'

Y/N read the message with an eyebrow raised in confusion before replying again.

'Why there? You can literally tell me now.'

'Just come will you? I don't know why you're complaining after saying that I haven't spoken to you for a year.'

'Fine. I'll see you then.'

Exhaling sharply after quite an awkward conversation, Y/N threw her phone onto the table.

"What happened? Why did he suddenly text you?" Jake asked after sensing her discomfort before going over to her and started to give her a light massage on her shoulders.

"I texted him first... but he wants to meet me after work and he will give me Johnny's address." she mumbled before sighing.

"Do you want me-" he started to suggest before getting interrupted.
