"J-Jake...? W-Why is my father's possessions in my study room?"

"What do you mean? What did you find?" Jake asked, confusion evident on his face, standing up from his seat and starts to pack his stuff up.

"I-I don't know...I don't k-know how it g-got here..." Y/N replied, trying to calm down while crying in fear.

"Y/N try and calm down and listen to me, okay?" he said gently, trying to calm her down through the phone while walking out of the office. "Take a deep breath in and out."

Listening to him, she does what he says, slowly coming down and sighs.

"Why are these here? Who brought them to my office?" Y/N replied, slowly feeling more calm and wipes her tears."

"What's in the box?"

"My dad's watch...a letter written in blood and some...tape recorder."

He stopped in his tracks from disbelief before speaking again.

"Really? That's weird...I'll come over and check with you." Jake said before ending the call with a sigh before going over to her apartment.

Sitting on the floor, Y/N carefully reads the letter before sighing.

"Does the police know anything about what happened that day?" she asks while carefully putting the 10-year-old evidence back in the box.

"No...all traces were wiped or still missing. And CCTV cameras didn't work because it was in a redeveloping area." Jake replied while checking online on this iPad for any information about the case.

"Then...how did this get in here? I don't remember putting this in my office."

"I mean, it was 10 years ago, how could you-" he said before getting interrupted.

"Just because it was 10 years ago, does not mean I can't remember a specific event." she retorts annoyed before sighing. "Sorry, I'm just stressed and tired."

Jake thinks deeply before getting an idea.

"Did you check the cameras to see who might've come to your apartment and left it here on purpose?" he asked before standing up to go and check the camera from the doorbell.

"No..." she said before picking up the tape recording and turns it on and starts to listen to it.

While listening to the tape recording, she suddenly heard another voice that wasn't her father's.

"Jake, there's another voice on the tape," she interrupted, her eyes widening in shock as she looked at him for confirmation, her mind racing with questions about who else could have been recorded.

"Huh?! You serious? What can you hear?" he said in disbelief, quickly coming back and listening to the tape recording.

Suddenly, his face started getting pale, as if he had no blood running through his body and looks at Y/N.

"This is weird, it sounds like my friend...but it's really unclear..." Jake says before quickly putting the tape recording back in the box and stands up.

"Come with me."

Y/N and Jake stared at the CCTV footage in disbelief as they watched a figure approach Y/N's apartment door and let themselves in. Y/N's heart pounded with apprehension as she recognised the familiar silhouette. The only light in the room being from the computer in front of them.
