Third person’s POV

“Boss, you need to hear this” lee sprinted into the training room where Jonas was sparring with another person.

“Any news on her?” he halted and sent the person away. “Yes sir, she has moved into the city and even got a job” lee reported. “Interesting, did she find out Nalia’s identity?” he grabbed a towel from a nearby rack “I do not think so; there didn’t seem to be any animosity between them”

Jonas tapped his chin, deep in thought. There wasn’t any attempt to harm Stephanie and if there was any such case, she would’ve fought back with all she had. She wouldn’t even hesitate to kill her.

“Is there anything special about the place she’s working in?” he handed the now damp towel to a nearby guard and collected a bunch of files and photos handed to him. “These are the details about the company and pictures of its leaders” lee stated. He scanned through the files and looked at the pictures.

Soon a wide grin that revealed his sharp canines could be seen on his face. “Looks like we have new players on the board. Our goal might be achieved sooner than we thought” he handed the files back to lee. “I want to go take a shower, keep me updated” he walked out of the room.

“Those blue eyes, the same ones that gives me nightmares. I never thought I’d see them again. My scar aches just thinking about it. Now that I think about it, he’s grown up to be a fine young man. Wouldn’t you think the same, Leona?”

Stephanie’s POV

Shit! Why did I have to wake up late of all days? I’m currently rushing to hail a taxi and even if I do, it’ll take about twenty minutes to get to the company. Its already 5:39 am, I don’t think I’ll make it.

After finally getting a taxi and arriving at the company, I checked the time again; 6:04 am. Sighing in defeat, I signed in and headed up to the office.

When I entered the office, I didn’t find anyone except jack wiping down his workstation. I greeted him and he only nodded as a response. Deciding to rest a bit before the others arrive, I rested my head on the table and let my mind drift off to a particular person.

“I miss him so much” I muttered. “me too Steph, we should’ve gone to meet him after we left” Eden replied. “I know, but how will I face him? I basically abandoned him and he’s bound to be angry at me. He might’ve even left there since he’s old enough” Eden didn’t reply because she knew that I did it all for him, even though leaving him was a bit selfish of me.

“Good morning jack! Has the files- Stephanie? What are you doing here so early? Samara was shocked seeing me so early here. She wore a yellow knee length dress that added to her youthful looks.

“I woke up early so I decided to come. Moreover, I needed to tell you something important” she didn’t need to know about my interaction with Mr. altomare. After collecting some files from jack, she sat near me with a serious look. “Tell me” she lowered her voice to prevent jack from listening in. I told her about my encounter with the old lady from yesterday, leaving out the unnecessary details.

“Can you make anything out from that?” I asked when I was done narrating everything. “This is quite complicated but very clear at the same time. She said you and two others are the bringers of destruction, but who are the other two? I’m sure Andre is the one who can destroy him, but is he even alive? There’s a lot of information and if we don’t decipher it on time, there will be a lot of chaos as the old woman said. I-"

She paused when tony, mike and Mikey entered the office, greeting us. “You know what, I’ll take you to my house one of these days and we’ll settle this matter. Come to think of it, where are you staying?” she asked. “I rented a nearby apartment with the money from my former job” I lied.
