That's what they told her when she left her world behind: no one could get in or out of The Dormir, no one could get sick; that's what they promised her. She was supposed to be safe... So why, she wondered, did the arrival of a distant, impassive guard make her feel threatened? Make all of the promises that had been made to her, become doubted?
